Just ordered mine along with the hood seal. Bob, in parts, was very courteous and indicated that there weren't many left on his incoming parts order. Anxiously waiting. :D :D

I believe Bob said the hood seal had a list price of $22.00 and our cost was $16 and some change.

Ken. Just have a few questions for you. Would this help out that much if I don't drive WOT or very aggressive? And secondly, does the computer have to be relearned? If so, how is that done? I've also thought about the z51 suspenion package you offered before, but don't know anyone I trust to install it.
:(
Thanks

The computer will re-learn after about 100 miles of driving. A few WOT runs would really help though. You'll feel the difference no matter how you drive. The factory air intake is the first MOD to find the free ponies in the LS-1. There's absoultey NO DOWN SIDE to this part. No loss in fuel mileage, slightly louder intake sound (more deeper with a growl at high RPM's) and no fear of any water ingestion problems.
Do it you won't be disappointed plus it looks factory. It's an effective stealth MOD.

Ken,
I got mine today and it took me about 20 minutes to install. (The PCV hose put up a small struggle) Seat of the pants says that the upper end of the rev band does have more power. I will know more next week at Gingerman. But this has to be one of the most effective price to performance mods I have ever seen.

Ken and Bob:
Thanks, mine arrived just as I was going to work this afternoon. One question, my airbox cover on my '01 looks like the '01 LS6...Did the '01 LS1 have a small opening or was it closed as I suspect? Do I have an '01 LS6 box on my car now??? Just curious, can't wait to get the new cover on and the "insight" from this Forum as always is helpful :chevy

Just got mine this afternoon and had the lid installed within 10 minutes. I had a little trouble with the restraining straps but got that solved and will be taking the car out for a recalibration run. :D :D :D

Re: Hot new item - easy and effective modification! (silversport)
So this afternoon I pass the UPS guy on the way home and knowing that my airbox cover was due today, I get the hood up and the old airbox cover off, do a little clean up ( scrapped the knuckles on both social fingers) and await the arrival of the Brown Truck With Stuff. 3 minutes after he drops off the box, I'm down the road "recalibrating". SOTP, definite inprovement, but I really won't know until additional "recalibrating" is done in the AM. Thanks Ken & Guys for the fast service and excellent price. Pleasure doing bidness wid 'cha and am waiting for the next Hot new item ....

Added my name to the wait list for the Z06 lid today (along with a hood seal). Ken -- you run a great operation. You and your team are the best.
