Default Newer car Dealer service scam?

Got a 2007 Corvette that has 24K miles. Wife brought in regularly for service and now they say it needs oil gasket pan replacement and air bag rebuild due to a light on that we never saw or noticed.

How can this be when the car does not leak oil. No blow underneath or oil drips and air bags should be good as new. It is new! Any ideas or word about typical woman scam on unwarranted service? They say that if is out of warranty buy could talk Chevy into redoing all for free given the opportunity...being just out of warranty recently.

I don't get it. I think they are trying to take advantage of a vehicle just old enough to cause worry with no real facts or reason.

Seek a second opinion.

That sounds pretty "questionable" to me. I'd suggest you might want to contact Rich Willhoff at Able Chevrolet in Rio Vista. He's the service and parts manager there, and is forum member RichieRichZ06 in the Northern California section. His work phone is 707 374-6317 x123.

Good Luck!
