2014 corvette stingray track preparation
The 2014 Corvette Stingray with the Z51 Performance Package has been designed and engineered to be a world-class sports car for the track. But before unleashing its acceleration, cornering and braking capability, there are several key procedures and steps that must be taken in order to properly experience its track prowess. For full details and information, see the vehicle Owner’s Manual.

Of the many things its good for, it pretty much tells that the NCM Museum Delivery for a new Corvette would be a problem for many owners who would immediately take to the open highway to get the car home and drive at a constant speed and RPM for hours....

I would think for the safety of everyone, the track mode should not work at all for the first 500 miles. I remember the mayhem of the 60's when well off Dads bought a 427/435
for a HS graduation present. 7.35 tires, a rainy night and no air bags. Just a seldom worn lap belt

I'd have to disagree with track mode not working in the first 500 miles, because it doesn't take track mode to not be able to respect the power and find yourself in "deep" trouble.
Those 427's were some very nice cars.
