Maybe you have already read posts "63-340 Jerky" page 2 explains Gm bulletin and changes to our early carbs. Had mine rebuilt by Daytona Parts, and he said it had the wrong metering rods installed, and he replaced with what specs called for.

Car idles great and revs fine, but under load I have a hesitation off idle, that I find annoying. This post shows parts the were changed to probably come in line with the November 26th date. Kind of validates our early carburetors also.

Thanks form suggestions on 1966 headlight rotation problem. You were right on. The main drive gear was stripped and the housing grease was dry. The motor did bench test OK.removing the hood helped much.
