This fall my wife had said to me, " Bob you have wanted to own a Corvette all your life, you should go out and buy one, life is too short not to enjoy it". My wife is the best thing that has ever happened to me, I wish she could say the same of me. We live in the Chicagoland area where the roads are long, stright, and flat, that is why we love to get out on the road whenever we can.

They are in Joliet, west of the Nascar track. Check out the Autobahn Country Club website. If you think you might like to go sometime, let me know and I will contact one of the members to get you in. It is a blast. Dave

Bob, the meaning behind the playground pic is 'my big toy in front of a big toy.' My rotors are Baer Decelarotors (zinc plated by Baer, and then VHT clear coated by me), the pads are Hawks, and I ground and sanded the calipers smooth before coating with VHT primer, VHT Fire Red Metallic, Monterey Red Metallic basecoat, Monterey Red Tintcoat, and finally VHT clearcoat. In 2006 the F55 suspension came with the base rotors. On my previous ride (98 Z28) i had performed a similar upgrade, so the vette was deserving as well. Not sure what to tell you about your wheel hop. Vettes, even with IRS, are notoriously bad for stepping out on mid-corner bumps. The F55 does it as well.

Spring, I can't wait. This winter has been brutal. Going through major withdrawl...

    Bob.
I know a thing or to about old school ( I'm 54 ) it took me awhile to navigate my way around .I'm always glad to see new guys on the board. This is a great place to learn about our cars and get idea's from the members here.To thank everyone that responded to you just post your thanks in the same thread as you introduced your self in.If someone is on line the little dot will be lit under your screen name.Enjoy the Fourm there's alot to learn and good people to learn from too.It is very helpful if you would fill out your profile so others know what year car you have, occupation, city and State your in etc.
