So you are going to find this funny...I got my new insurance card today and I looked and it said 2002 Corvette. I thought wait they messed it up because when I bought it he told me it was a 2001. So I looked up the VIN and by god its a 2002!!! Wow that was a great surprise! Its a whole year newer than I have thought for the past 6 months! Not that there really is any difference.

Yes, it took about 90 minutes or so. Easy drive. Big place in two buildings. Have a full Dyno...the same one they have at factory, Saw two 1963s (split and convert) they are working on worth around a million each. They have a blue one that I loved. Have several C3, one yellow C4, and at least 5 C5s, I saw one C6. They would have it for about two weeks. They are going to go over it and check it all out. Change fluids, radio, and I may change headers to ACR long tubes. I not 100% decided. He is checking one issue with some gunk in the oil cap. He said its just either condensation or a leaking head gasket. Once he goes over he will give me what needs done according to them and what prices are if I want them to do it or wait. I will most likely have Taz do some of the work. I am excited to get it back now that the weather is a little nicer!

Worked on her some this weekend since I couldnt do much with weather. I put on the weather strip under the front hood to keep out dirt and on the shroud that holds the bumper on I put C5 logo screw covers over the cheap plastic brackets (6 of them) to jazz it up a little. Cost me $12 and about 10 minutes. Was suppose to take her down to Maryland to get stereo put in at Tonys but cancelled since the weather was going to be so bad. I am suppose to take her down on March 7 if you want to go to see the shop. I have to take two cars down to drop it off for the week. Mike may ride along down if you would like to go let me know. Should be a cool place to see all the stuff and restores they do. Next project is to paint the hood liner logo, gauge bezels, and change all the interior lights to red LEDs. Its all little stuff that is personalizing it and wasnt a lot to do!

    Hi Bill,
I don't really believe that you need a catch can on a stock motor. Most the folks with boosted motors do have them.
I wouldn't put any undo pressure on the wiring harness than necessary, as it could *possibly* haunt you later down the road. Post this question in the forum and you should get plenty of tech answers. But for myself , I would say no that the catch can isn't necessary.
    Have a good one

shhh upgraded the stereo....i needed blue tooth to listen to music so I just got a new Kenwood touch screen from Dennis at Double D mods....he threw in a front and back camera. I will take it to Tonys Corvette in Maryland as there where he recommends for the east coast. Great guy...helped me out a bunch. He has a great rep on the forum and I see why! Now how to keep this from the

lol I dont have 40K or I would. I will be keeping this one for awhile. I have all the stuff to do the hood liner- (testor paint sticks), have the LEDS, and the screens I bought at Carlisle. So havent spent any $ but I would like to do stereo...not cheap. Really like to do headlights eventually but not in budget. I am doing mostly the DIY ones at this point. I want to see what Taz thinks of the catch cans...I read about them and they seem like a good investment for your car. Which one did u get? I have seen several makers and I dont know what color to
