My car had HUD factory installed. As for the Pioneer, even having only had it in for about 6 weeks now, yes, I'd do it again. Aside from the convenience of having the nav, Bluetooth and cam, it was a huge improvement in sound quality even with leaving the old Bose speakers in. Speaker quality has improved some since my '05 came out, just judging from the sound of the Bose system in my '16 Tahoe, but what I now have in the Vette is quite good enough for me. And I think that's where you should start, by deciding just what would be right for you in your car. You can go pretty crazy on audio if you have a mind to and money isn't an object. That being said, I got the 5200NEX for $699. Hardware, harness, cam and such added about $150.

I saw your post in the "sold thread". I may be buying an '07 Vette soon, and I saw that you added a Pioneer Nav setup. The one I am not looking at doesn't have Nav, but I would like to add it. I also want to add HUD. Can you give me an idea of about how much it cost to have someone add the Pioneer Nav, and whether or not you would do it again? Also, how much was just the unit, itself? You didn't do HUD, did you?
    Thanks for your help
