    Yes the chimes work as long as you get the right wiring harness. The Pac Audio RP5-GM11 comes with a chimes module that attaches to the harness. I think you can also use the RP4-GM11 also. The only thing I lost was the navigation through the HUD, but that didn't bother me. Overall the new head unit is a big upgrade over the stock system. Makes everything a little more modern. I have more features than I can use and all user friendly and relatively easy to figure.

    thanks for the quick reply.... so do the chimes and everything else work ok, I know the nav doesn't on the HUD but don't care about that.. I also don't care about Sirius.. Just getting tired with this old bose radio... appreciate the pointers if you have them, as I'll be moving to florida soon so I'll probably do this down there...

    so I've about had it with the radio in my 13 GS.. I have a bose unit and just want to change out the HU and make SURE I keep everything else like the chimes etc... Nav on HUD going away is not an issue as I never use it anyway.. If you still have the parts list handy I'd appreciate it.. are you still liking it the new unit?
