Default Anyone going to the Colorado Mile? - updated with results

The Colorado Mile is Labor Day Weekend. It appears the turnout will be lower that the Pikes Peak Airstrip Attack?

What is your targeted trap speed?
I did 151 mph in the 1/2 mile.
I hear you should trap 30 mph faster in the mile.

It appears many people are not aware of this event.
They may have to market this event differently.

Default The Colorado Mile was a lot of fun, will do this next year.....

Here are some pics...

This last one (201) is not mine. It is Willie B's, the radio announcer in his C5 Corvette.

I was there Sat & Sun. Not as many people as Airstrip attack but still good showing.

My Z06 was plagued with traction and clutch problems (shifting) so the best I could get was My best was 176.4

Still had a great time. The GTRs were the kings of the event.

My best was 181.1 mph
Not as crowded as the 1/2 event in Colorado Springs but still well represented. The shut down area was a bit short so you had to be on the brakes immediately after crossing the mile mark. Kudos to the US Mile Racing and Front Range Airport for their continued support of Colorado Mile.

Default Whose going to this event? Post pics of your ride.

I missed the Pikes Peak Airstrip Attack, which seems to be more popular.

Default Friday run....against the wind...

2017 Colorado Mile

Later on Friday, the wind shifted and my Meth system was misbehaving. I did not chance it. I need to stop playing with the controller.

That wind just was not in our favor!

Time to upgrade to a port fuel injection...

238.4 was the best it did. It had more in it because one of the runs we picked up 9mph in the 1/4 but ran out of nitrous up top...

Default Colorado Mile

Hi Boyce, I was not able to attend, as I now live in Billings. I see you ran ~185mph? How did it go? I see attendance is down.
