Black Hills Corvette Classic
Registration is now open for this summer's Black Hills Corvette Classic.
The event takes place July 18th-21st.
This a great even that offers something for everyone. It kicks off Wednesday with the welcome event at Jerry's Chevrolet in Beresford, SD with special guests and nearly 1,000 enthusiasts. That evening is the Hot Summer Nites car show downtown Sioux Falls, SD with food vendors and live entertainment. There are hundreds of Corvettes and approximately 40,000 spectators!
Thursday morning begins with the World’s Longest Corvette Caravan across the state of South Dakota for the events in the Black Hills. Along the way you can visit Al’s Oasis, Pioneer Auto Museum, the 1880 Town, Wall Drug and the Badlands. That evening there is a Social Mixer food and music along with special guests.
On Friday there is a ladies’ style event, an autocross, learning seminars and the Vette Street USA car show with live entertainment.
Saturday begins with drag racing and finishes with the banquet that evening followed by live entertainment.
In addition, there are guided tours on Friday and Saturday to Mount Rushmore, Devil’s Tower and the 1880 train ride, plus a poker run through the Hills. There really truly is something for everyone.
This year marks the 47th year for the event. The event is hosted by the Sioux Falls Corvette Club. I believe that it is the longest running Corvette event in the country still run by Corvette Club volunteers.
I first attended this event with my father in 1986. I have not missed one since. It is one of the best Corvette events in the country offering a wide variety of events and some of the most spectacular enthusiast roads and scenery in the country.
Who’s going??
I am and hope to see you all there.

I’ll be there!
My wife and I will be there. This is my 16th or 17th year in a row of attending the classic. Vette Street is always my highlight, especially the last few years with the live music and all. My second would be autocross (at least when it works and is on time anyway).
Does anybody know if the bridge in Spearfish will be done this year? That is going to be a huge improvement for traffic flow in the City of Spearfish when it’s completed. Well worth the temporary disruption.

I have been going without a Corvette since 2009 and this will be my first year WITH a Vette. I am excited about spending some road time with my beautiful wife. I can’t wait to experience it in a Vette for the first time and since I already live in the Black Hills I won’t have to go too far..haha.

I have lodging reservations but never registered as my mods werent complete at the time...........................
Now online registration is closed and I've been informed that ALL the guided tours are FULL
As I'm from Seattle area I was not going to go the extra 400 miles to Sioux Falls but rather start
in Spearfish Thurday eve at the "White's Queen City Social"
IF all the tours are marked FULL, asking those with experience, will I be allowed to follow along
and IF not What's the point of paying expensive registration just to do the Friday night "Vette Street USA"
