Possibly Moving to Denver from Houston, Have Questions!
Long time member and Texan here. My job might be taking me to Denver in the near future.
I have a C6 ZR1 and I would most likely be renting an apartment downtown. Are Colorado Corvette owners storing their cars over the winter or do you keep them in your own garage? Since I'll probably be in an apartment with a parking garage, I don't really want to leave the car there all the time as it is not my daily driver.
Anyone know of a good car storage place around the Denver area?
Also, I come from the land of 1 season so we can drive our cars year-round. Storing the car will be completely new to me. Any tips or suggestions?
Thank you
Stephen

My recommendation is a garage and a battery tender. The nice thing about winter is it gives you a lot of time to do those little jobs you put off all summer. My main problem with a storage unit is they still freeze, my garage does not.

There is the vehicle vault in Parker you can store your Corvette at.
All the guys I know, all but one in Colorado Springs, park their cars in the winter and keep a battery tender on it to avoid a dead battery and issues with the computer when you do go to start it.
The last time I stored mine it was $280 a month, which is a little high but where I wanted it and cleaner than most places.

Yeah $280/month certainly isn't cheap. I am leaning towards renting a house with an attached garage now. Just don't want to end up lost in suburbia...

Keep in mind that Colorado often has some really nice days during the winter (doesn't snow all the time), so there will be many days over the winter that you can get out for a cold, but sunny drive.

I live is SLC and grew up in Denver. I drive mine year round when the roads are clear, Denver has a much better climate. It's famous for 12 inches of show yesterday and 62 degrees today.
