Does Carlisle have a 1/4 mile drag strip?Any racing at the show?
Is there a track there?Is it 1/4 or 1/8 mile?If there is drag racing at the event when and where does it take place?

Unfortunately Carlisle is just a car-show type event. That is the main reason I am not going there again this year. I like vette shows that are more performance oriented and have driving events such as autox and drag racing. However, Carlisle is the best swap-meet style Vette show there is.
It sounds like the ROUTE66 show in Joliet Illinois on the first weekend of October is what you are looking for. Drag racing, autox'ing and the first C5 Tuner's Shootout. It should be a good time and I will be there FOR SURE.

well there really isn't anywhere to drag race at carlisle:(, an autocross event would probably be easy to do
. finding an approiate spot would be the only problem.:(

there is a "parade" to downtown area on Saturday night. signup is $25
there is a "road Ralley" on Sunday morning, sponsered by a ccorvette club. (check "northeast section" for a post.
last year, there was an ad that mentioned saturday night racing, but i believe that it was simply advertising for a local track, but not a corvette event.
the show is on Fair Grounds, and no racing activities are available.
