CORVETTES AT CARLISLE - August 27-29, 2010 - Registration open -->
#122
My Dad and I are coming back for the first time in a few years. We were in Chip's Choice the last time. That was a great experience.
What happened to the Corvette auction over in the expo center? I've been out of the loop.

I have not missed Corvettes at Carlisle since 1984. I could write kind of a history book of my life based on who I attended with each year. This year I will be attending with my son. But, I will not be bringing a Corvette. Would be nice if I could leave with one. I will be attending all 3 days. Any suggestions on where to park and/or ticketing packages? Also, is it official if GM is bringing the "sideswipe" or not? Thanks. Hope it is a successful event and there are many more to come!

Glad to hear you and your son will be joining us this year. Sorry you won't be bringing a Corvette, but I love your optimism regarding driving home with one (who knows?!). I'd love to win the '03 Z06 we're giving away on Sunday at 3pm - it truly is awesome! I'd recommend parking near Gate 1 (there's a big IAC building with a very large parking lot across the way). I'd also recommend purchasing a weekend a 4-day pass for $40. GM will not have sideswipe at the event unfortunately. However the GM Team will be here throughout the entire weekend going over all of the new vehicle details.
Safe travels!
Sincerely,
Lance

Lance,
Our good friend Rich Lagasse just forwarded the trailer on youtube of your wonderful tribute to your Dad. It is a very wonderful thing you have done and I suggest everyone heading to Carlisle view this before
you make the trip.

See you next week,

Lance, I have no idea how you managed to control the weather for this year's event, but please don't lose the formula, this is going to be my 5th year in a row, so looking forward to nice weather

I still won't believe it till Wednesday night when I'm packing. It will change 100 times between now and then. Not a skeptic, but just speaking from 63 years of experience.

I'll be making my 10th straight trip this year with a dozen or so Beachcomber Corvette Club members from Hampton Roads VA and celebrating the ZR-1 20 year birthday with the ZR-1 Net Registry guys.
