7. Saturday @ NOON - August 28, 2010 - REV YOUR ENGINES for 15 seconds & follow with a moment of silence. A tribute for my father, Chip Miller, who passed away from amyloidosis (more info: ChipMiller.org).
8. Chip's Choice is a special invitation-only display inside of Building T that highlights one aspect of the Corvette hobby. This year's theme will be "Corvettes - America's Sports Car". The display will showcase and tell the story of Corvettes that represent the "America" in the Corvette nickname America's sports car.

I already have my hotel reservations. I have 2 requests:
1. Finish the bridge work
2. Nice weather
Long cold winter ahead unfortunately.

our rooms are booked...just 7 cars coming down with us so far. Bowling Green might be following Carlisle this year...nothing like a Vette vacation.

Good morning FLY LOW...
It's your preference, here's a good place to start your hunt for a hotel room for Corvettes at Carlisle: hotel listing.
I'm sure there are other people on the forum that could provide you with feedback on specific hotels in the area.
I hope to meet you at the event.
Sincerely,
Lance

HA! I just noticed that in the video on Carlisle's CAC home page, my wife is the one talking with Mario Andretti. I'll never live this one down.

Thought this was interesting. I found a website that lists all of the hotels in and around Carlisle and it also lists the prices of the rooms NOW and the cost of the rooms during CAC. Rooms averaged from $80 today to $250 and up during CAC! Can you say "RIP OFF?"
I was booked at the Ramada, but cancelled my reservation and decided to drive a little farther to a hotel we had stayed at before that actually saved me $75.00 a nite. There are deals out there, you just have to look for them and drive a little further.

I have stayed in the same motel in the off season that I stay in during the Corvettes at Carlisle. Off season was $49.00. During the show it is $160. I asked them about the disparity. Their response was that everyone in town does it during the events because they can

I wish I would have kept the site, but I didn't because I was searching for a cheaper room. But I found it by Googling "hotels route 81 carlisle pa" if that helps.
That's exactly the reason. It's perfectly legal. I'm surprised that they all haven't started the "three night minimum" policy to grab those extra bucks.
