The folks at Internet Brands are working on some giveaways for registered participants at Cruise-In XI. I can't reveal the details until the deal is completed, but I'm expecting a pretty significant prize. Details as they become available.

Some of you know Mike (C5starman). He has sent me some Corvette 50th Anniversary commemorative pins to share with Forum members at CI-XI.

I’ll have them with me and will pass them out to CI-XI attendees until they run out.

I have confirmation now on the "significant prize" I referenced above:

Internet Brands has told me that Fikse is donating a set of four custom wheels. http://www.fikse.com/products.html Winner picks the style, size and finish to suit their Corvette.

Buckythreadkiller, the Forum's NCM ambassador and a marketing guru in his non-cyber life, is working with me on the specifics of the giveaway, but we want to try and use the wheels to encourage registrations through the NCM for CI-XI and to kick off an effort by Forum members to raise money in support of constructrion of the NCM's Motorsports Park, where we will be able to have fun in our Corvettes at future Cruise-Ins.

We'll also have giveaways from IB on the following:

4 x Corvette Forum cooler chairs
50 x Corvette Forum shirts
Lots of Corvetteforum decals.

Michael at the Hampton Inn is coordinating food vendors and the beer trailer in the parking lot.

We'll be unveiling the memorial bench Forum members funded for Bill Maguire (IrishMac) at 3 p.m. Friday, May 28, and will have a chance to meet Bill's wife, Kathy, and other family members who will be present.

Just to add further to Jim's comments.
We will be donating a standard set of Fikse wheels as you can see listed in the link provided.
The size/width/style and specifications of the wheels are up to the winners discretion.
If the winner would elect to have the wheels finished with a special polish/paint or finish outside of standard specification they are welcome to request that, but they will be charged by Fikse to fulfill on that request.
The wheels will be provided without tires, but shipping of the wheels will be provided by Internet Brands/Corvette Forum to the residence of the winner.

Jim (buckythreadkiller) is still working on the details of the giveaway, so I hope to hear from him soon so we can nail that down. The goal is to tie the wheel giveaway to encoueage registration for CI-XI and also to raise some money to kick off a fund drive to benefit the NCM's Motorsports Park.

So, tickets and a drawing will be involved.

The drawing for the Fikse wheels will take place at the Logo Circle at the NCM at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, following the walk-around introduction of the 2011 Corvette.

You must be present to win and must be a registered CI-XI participant. If a ticket is drawn and nobody is present with the matching ticket to claim the prize, then another ticket will be drawn until we have a winner.
