Default Irene and Carlisle --URGENT UPDATE....PLEASE READ...

Just in at DHS at 11:00 AM, set for immediate public release:

There has been a slight shift in the forecast beyond Saturday.

- It now appears Irene may hug the coastline potentially making a landfall not too far east of New York City Sunday evening.

- This new track means more people could have catastrophic impacts from Irene in the Northeast beginning Saturday night in southern Virginia and lasting into Monday in New England.

-Even though Irene should weaken some it will still bring hurricane force winds, extreme rainfall, significant coastal flooding and a tornado threat.

- Irene should be hitting the Northeast near the new moon when tides will be higher before adding Irene's surge and wave action.

- Heavy rain could track as far west as western Virginia, western Maryland, central Pennsylvania and central and western New York.

- Widespread wind damage and power outages are likely throughout the Northeast.

Just want to keep all of you updated as I get this information, I will try to pass it on for your own safety.. Please take notice of this...

Ebvette,
Collin

Dude...

We get it! Sunday is gonna be a bitch....

But I think you need to post maybe 100 more times here on the forum, because most of us don't watch the news, listen to the car radio, read the papers, or go online, so without you, we'd have no idea of what to expect..

Better to warn everyone now because without your warnings so many people would be caught unprepared for this!

You are an asset to the corvetteforum!
Thanks so much for your classified info!

Without it, I would have NEVER known a hurricane, with heavy rain & damaging winds were headed this way!

Again, thanks for the heads up!

Thanks for the update...
I'll be up there Friday....if the crazies don't jump on the road first and clog things up

Saturday and Sunday I'll hunker down and have a beer and watch the rain fall sideways

Perfect weather for Friday (today!). Top of the morning to everyone... (Saturday also looks good with a chance of rain on Sunday).
