As some of you may know Roc, Dennis Pett and I have been working on an all new performance event for the NCM. Below is the is the initial roll out of he event. Please feel free ask any question and I post more details soon as to classes and rules.....



2012 Zpeedfest
May 31 - June 2, 2012
ZpeedFest – The name alone tells you what this brand new event is all about. Forget about waxing and car shows, ZpeedFest is all about performance and competition. This latest addition to the NCM’s varied event program is dedicated to the speed enthusiasts, both as participants and as spectators. Initially developed for the “Z” Corvettes, ZpeedFest is open to participants with all models of GM competition oriented product including Camaro, Cobalt, CTS and other. The event kicks off on Thursday May 31 with a day of seminars from tuners and competitors filled with “how 2” information and demonstrations. Thursday closes out with ride along back roads including the “roller coaster” and finishing at Split Tree Bar-B-Que.
Friday morning starts early at Beech Bend with Drag Racing tech and 3 hours of testing and fun passes down the quarter mile in the 4 different activity categories; Bracket, Pro Index, Zpeed and Test/Tune/Fun. Pro Index will have 4 classes to run in while Zpeed will be an MPH Challenge with 2 categories. ZpeedFest participants who register for Drag Racing will be able to take part in all activities and for the drag racer just interested in fun, the all-day Test/Tune/Fun category will give you ample pass opportunities to learn and practice. After lunch the racing starts in earnest with Eliminations in all categories except fun runs. The day ends with trophy awards.
Saturday is devoted to Autocross at Beech Bend. There are 3 competition classes; sticky, street and ladies’ plus a fun class so there is racing for everyone. Practice will take place in the morning and competition runs will be in the afternoon.
Tuners will have opportunities to demo their work at both the drag strip and the autox course plus there will be a dyno on hand all 3 days. Advance Registration will close at 8:00am central time on May 18th.
This event will be an annual event and when the Motorsports Park comes on line the road course will be added to the event schedule. Note the correct date above. Make sure you are signed on to eNews to get updates and information on all NCM events.

Guys here is the Zpeedfest agenda and pricing i think with this event we are offering a lot of racing at a very fair price.
I will be posting the drag racing rules soon and they are very new Vette/GM car line friendly. I have a agreement with Beach Bend park for this event to bring the antiquated NHRA safety rule into the new millennium. I think I've made them very realistic for today vehicles..

just a heads up passengers during time runs at the drag strip are welcome.....

I wish I could make it there on time. I'm travelling from Hungary to see the NCM, the factory and Beech Bend, but we will only arrive on Saturday evening :-( Wish you all good luck and habe fun!
