Carlisle Hotels are starting already
I figured that once Carlisle announced that they were adding a day that things would start going nuts with hotels. And it has started. We've stayed 2 nights the last 4 years at the Days Inn South in Carlisle. Every year, we just re-reserve for the following year, but we weren't allowed to do that this year. Instead we were put on a list, and were told they would call.
Got the call.
Now the hotel is requiring a 3 night minimum and the rates are $169 to $199 a night. Where's the freakin ocean for those prices? What a bunch of crap. Well, this guy booked elsewhere for a lot less and just as good of a hotel.
So if you're a regular at the DI South, that's what you're up against. Paying $500 - $600 for a couple nights in a hotel where all I do is rest my head and shower is nuts. Good luck.

Melting Slicks
Booked at the Hampton Inn Mechanicsburg, as I have for the past 5 years. The room rate was reduced over $30 bucks per night, close to $134 a night, no minimums. Nice breakfast buffet, clean rooms, easy back roads to Carlisle, and the Kerbeck girls stay there.
