2017 Hot Rod Power Tour
The date and route has not been published yet, but it generally starts off in the first half of June. There is talk on another forum that the date and route will be known in Jan. It will start in Kansa City area.
I am planning on doing the tour for the first time. Anyone else considering it, especially those in the mid-atlantic area. Dennis

Medicdiver, As I know it at this time, the HRPT will start in Kansas City and move east. Possibly stopping in Ia, Ill, Ind, Ky. Details are to be released about the end of Dec or begining of Jan. Dennis

I did the power tour back in 2006. A good time and well planned out.
I would consider doing it again but I am looking for a route that
is interesting to me.
2006 it was from Florida to Raceway park Englishtown NJ a good route for me living in NJ.
I went to Charleston SC, Savannah Georgia and then spent a week in Key west Florida they drove back with the tour.

I have been wanting to do this for the last six years. Maybe this year is the year. For you that have done HRPT were your Corvettes modded any? Mine isn't (2006 6sp Z51). I get the sense that folks doing the HRPT all have unique cars, I hope its not the case because my car is not unique although I love driving it. I do agree with Mr. Jones and Medicdiver a route that has lots of interest would really make the trip more inviting.

I did the complete tour last year, with 4 other Vette friends. It was a lot of fun. I've heard it's going to end at Bolling Green this year! They should put the route out in a few days. I don't plan to do the complete tour this time, but may hit a couple cities.

As stated above, you will see any and everything. Don't worry about mods or no mods. Make sure you have a camera of some sort. I'm ready to roll out! Dennis

Official new!
The HRPT registration is open! I suggest anyone wanting to participate move quickly as hotels are filling up fast. Pre-kickoff activity is June 10, in Kansas City, with driving out starting on June 11. Anyone that does sign up, let me know via PM. Let me know what town you will be at if NOT doing the whole tour. We can share cell numbers. Dennis

I signed up and booked hotels. Probably will start in Champaign,IL.

Just registered for the stop in Bowling Green on June 16!
Looks like a great event & was able to book plant/ museum tour for June 15.
NOTE - For anyone going to Bowling Green, the plant will be "closed" for tours after June 16 until further notice.
