Has anyone thought about printing out their CF handle and taping on their shirt (or hat) - so we can find each other? A "meetup" would also be fun - perhaps one for each generation...

They usually do that once a year. Everyone meets at the grandstand at a specific time (it gets put on here) and takes a picture.

Thanks,

Yes sir! That's a large parking lot next to the fairgrounds, easy access and exit.

Cheers,

Lance

So I just bought the fun field pass. I am planning on arriving Friday morning, so I was wondering do they assign parking in the field or its just first come first serve when you get there for people that bought the fun field parking?

So I've got some questions about buying a car at CoC. Next year I'm going to be in the market for a new (to me) Corvette, most likely a C2. Is a venue like this a good place to get one because there will be a lot of competition, or is it the other way around where there's too many buyers making it too easy to get in a bidding war?

Alot of the midyears in the Cars for sale Coral are overpriced. If you are looking for a deal, get there on Wednesday or very early Thursday. Occasionally you can get lucky. I sold a midyear coupe there a few years ago. That ended up being a good deal for the buyer. Private parties may be the best bet for a deal. In any event, have someone knowledgeable inspect it unless you are well versed in midyears. Good luck and happy hunting.

First come first served each day, unless you've paid for reserved fun field parking. Check the website, you might still be able to upgrade. Worth it to have your parking spot each day when you arrive, vs. driving around looking for a spot.

Thanks man! I was able to get a reserved spot. There were only 2 left when i called! I've never been there before, so I am looking forward to seeing this event.

Must have had some cancellations because those $150 spots sold out in February. You'll be glad you got one. Your spot will have your name on a white sign for your assigned space. If she gave you your number, you can check the event map when it comes out on the website so you'll know where to go. I'm in spot I E 50. If she didn't give you your space number, it will be on your window sticker when it comes two weeks before the event. Pretty much when you come in Gate 3, turn right and go almost all the way down to where the swap meet begins. The reserved rows are usually the the first two (four side) roads next to the swap meet. Just look for your name, be sure to park between the markers (they're in the ground), put up your tent and chairs and enjoy the weekend. There is ZERO shade, so if you can nab a canopy or have one, bring it. You can leave it there all weekend. Nobody will bother it.

Look on Amazon under "Quik Shade Solo 10x10" They're the ONLY ones that have a double drop on the legs so it fits real nicely in the Vette. $95 with free shipping. Dicks or Field and Stream sell them for $49 or $59 and they might fit. I bought one there last year, and it didn't fit, but I needed the canopy from it, so I paid it. Don't take the bag in the car because you don't really need it, and it takes up more space. The maximum width I can get in my vert is 47".

Jim,

I'd suggest calling touching base and locking it in, see the following link: http://www.carlisleevents.com/carlis...s-camping.aspx.

Thanks,

Default Hotel room

I will not be able to make it this year, I just canceled my room at Best Western Carlisle. If your looking for a clean hotel with free breakfast only 2 miles from the fairgrounds. Do not call the Best Western 800 #, call the hotel direct, 717-243-6200. Good luck, enjoy, wish I could make it.

Question -- I bought my spot on the Fun Field last December. Has anyone heard when they will be mailing out the entrance stickers?

Just checked the website and can't find any info on it. Thanks in advance!
