Kinda wanted to stay near or in Carlisle... But That looks like a Great Hotel. Have eaten at the Boiling Springs Tavern ..Beautiful ride thru the country side. I have a Back up plan meaning I thought I'd give it a shot and try and get something near the show field. If I can't find a place I do have my back up going. I'll be there at Vetteheads regardless.
Also..Sept 23rd Boardwalk Corvettes In Ocean City NJ on the Boardwalk.

As every year I'll be the first car out (Parked on The Front Lawn Entrance) behind and following the Police Car and First up on the boardwalk at 14th Street then down the Boardwalk to somewhere around 6th or 7th street. The reason for that is I get to do the "Miss America" Wave and thank each one for coming as they leave the Boardwalk at the down Ramp at 5th Street.
That's one of my Club jobs.
Takes about 1 hour 15 Min to get all the cars off. Then When I get home I soak my Right Arm in Hot Water...L.O.L..
It's a real good place to see all 500 Corvettes from the show as they roll down the ramp. Usually has a fairly large crowd.

I did post this in several other areas but if someone has a reserved spot and is willing to let it go for this year I would be grateful. I do have a Fun Field pass but would love to get back to the reserved area. Please IM me if you or someone you do know would be willing to do so.

Lodging at Carlisle
I was on Booking.com looking for a room for next weekend. They just added townhouses 1 mile from the fairgrounds. $115 per night plus $40 cleaning fee. In case any of you waited until the last minute like me.

What happened ...??? They run out of Water? So first thing is to find a U do spray wash in the area. Found one called "Car Wash" a You do it Spray by hand wash. Located at 2050 Spring Rd.Carlisle Pa. About ...ball park 3 miles from the Turnpike exit to Rt 11
THis one is good for me as I will come off the T Pike and go to the Car wash. Others are all around carlisle

There must be one person on the fence here. I still have a Fun Field pass and a sizable offset for your troubles. You would still be able to have the same spot next year since the pass is already issued in your name.

FYI.....If you are coming from the south on 81, DO NOT get off at the Newville exit. They are doing construction and road work just off the exit. It is not only causing a bottleneck, but it is literally a dust bowl. If you want to finish the drive on Rt. 11, get off in Shippensburg, otherwise go all the way in to Carlisle.

TOO MANY DOGS ON THE FUN FIELD AND MIDWAY!! Never seen it this bad. People everywhere with them. On the showfield, walking large dogs through the midway (not the swap meet), People next to me in the reserved section have TWO dogs with them, kids on motorized scooters riding between cars. It's a MESS this year.

What’s with putting two names on the black and white reserved spot signs? Who gets to keep the sign, you or the folks behind you? I know people like to keep those signs and put them up in a garage or basement.
