Yep, the glory days of the CF Cruise-In have sadly gone away. In its heyday, it was THE event to go to.
However - IMHO - the next best event to attend is the NCM BASH, which is this coming week in Bowling Green, held at the museum. I'll post below all the activities of the event (MANY!), but I do know that there is a planned dinner for CF people attending the Bash. If you used to go to the Cruise-In , the BASH is an entirely different type of event than the Cruise-In. The BASH is all about Corvette, introducing the 2019 lineup, meet and greet all the top brass of Corvette (chief engineer, design folks, Racing Team, etc.), with seminars, all the new cars - including the C7 ZR1 - on display, auctions, etc. (see the info below). Where as the Cruise-In was essentially a bunch of Corvette enthusiasts getting together for a 4 day party - Roscoe, in the thread above this one, had the absolute best BBQ dinners on the planet. A number of us also chipped in for enough kegs to have a beer truck with beer flowing 24/7 for the event. Needless to say, it was all fun.
C'mon down!
