Is the parking area just inside Gate 1 along the chain link fence for anyone with a Corvette or does it have to be reserved in advance? I always see a ton of Vettes there and wondered if I could just arrive and park there too. I'm not talking about Fun Field or Corvettes only parking at the top of the hill. Thnx.

According to the event map, you can park there Friday and Sunday, but not Saturday. It's for parade staging Saturday.

Excited, attending for the first time this year. Flying out from New Mexico to attend with my son. Anyone know if there are off-site spots with shuttles to the event?

Don't think there are shuttles to the event, there are some from the event to other attractions. You can park anywhere near by for $10-$15.

They don't stage in that area until later in the day on Saturday - starting somewhere around 4:30-5pm. They start parking cars there Saturday morning. In my experience the first arriving cars Saturday morning will be parked there and they will fill there before moving to the hill.
