Just cancelled my reservation at Country Inn and Suites if anyone is looking for a good, close hotel. Should be one room available now.

Yes. I have heard that since the reveal is on 7/18, the GM tent at Carlisle should be very interesting.

Lance's last post about it on Facebook said he has no confirmation of it from GM. So, who knows. It would be a huge mistake NOT to have it there.

Corvettes at Carlisle is where we all got our first glimpse of the C7 back in 2013. I would think that GM would do the same this time around.

For those of you who take the PA turnpike. Not all toll booths have attendants any more. We went to GM last month and got on in Bedford Pa and off at the Blue Mountain exit. Toll should be $8.70. There's no attendant , so you have to figure out how to swipe your ticket under the scanner, then push the black receipt button and reach WAY up to get your receipt. It's too high to reach for most Corvettes, and I couldn't reach it. Fortunately, there was a nice lady in the car behind us who jumped out of her car, came up and handed me the ticket. There is ZERO room to get out of your car to get it, and the wind blows the ticket upwards making it even farther to reach. Bad thing is, the receipt said "due $31.50" !!! They take a picture of your license plate going through so they know where to send the bill. Two weeks later, it still hasn't come. And if you don't pay within 30 days, you get charged fines. So now I have to **** around filling out forms, making copies of the ticket and receipt, and working to straighten this mess out.
Not looking forward to going through this again in August.

So just a heads up on what you can expect if you get off at Blue Mountain (back way into Carlisle and about $4 less than going to Carlisle). I don't know if there's an attendant at Carlisle exit.

I don't have to take the PA TPKE (thank god), but do they accept EZ Pass? It's been a while since I've driven the PA TPKE and try to avoid it all costs (figuratively and literally).

They do accept EZ Pass. So for you.......no problem. For me, I drive the turnpike once, maybe twice a year so an EZ Pass isn't worth the cost. I could take Route 30 the whole way, but that's a long windy road.

I messaged American Racing to see if they're coming this year...no response. Anyone know if they're doing installs?

My short Corvette driving season is jam packed with shows and events between May and October. I will say, for my wife and me, Carlisle is hands down, best fun of the season. The trip, the cars, the people and the well organized event. Can't wait for this year's.

Lance, my wife is most likely going to need a scooter this year since she can't ride the tram any more. How far in advance should I reserve one ? Or can I count on there being one available on the show days? And where do I go to get one? Thanks.

Nope. Carlisle will be making a BIG ANNOUNCEMENT later this week. And the anniversary celebration at the museum is the week after Corvettes at Carlisle.

The website still isn't showing sold out yet. I have a feeling that they're going to allow as many as people who want them. Can't your club members get a refund?

No clue. Just saying that their website waisn't showing "sold out" like the Chip's Circle is. If you want a reserve spot, give them a call. They've always been easy to talk with and they might let you exchange your Fun Field for Reserved, but you might have to stop at the office to pick up your sticker if they already have them printed and ready to ship. All I know is, I sure hope the weather is like last year. Couldn't have been better.
