It would be really cool to match our IRS cars in the Nostalgia Pro Street Class (which appears to be the one we would have to run in)but I'm not giving up my nitrous bottles which are mounted where the passenger seat was located and the rules require 2 seats.

NMCA appears to be pretty strict.

Sucks that there isn't a C3 shootout class. Maybe they assume there would not be enuf entrants.
I have my nitrous bottle in place of the passenger seat too. I have thought about cutting a hole in the bottom of the passenger seat for the nitrous bottle, so that I can have both, a passenger seat and the nitrous bottle in there.. However, I don't know if a seat with a hole for the nitous bottle would meet the rule requirements.. I don't see how the rule says that the seat can't have a hole or that it has to be useable for a passenger..

Is this thing going to have a bracket class or is it all index racing?

Edgar, can I enter my Corvette in the car show or do you need an IRS for that also?

Chris not a Corvette only bracket class but the event does usually have a bracket class. Not sure at this point what the structure is but is typically where you can enter the brackets if you lose first round in the "main" event. I can find out if it makes a difference in your attending.

John, I am pretty sure it does not matter what suspension you have for the show. I can find out if you really want me to.

If its going to have a bracket class, then it makes it more tempting. I doubt I would go down for an index only race.

The index class is like bracket and pay $2000 to win and $1000 to runner up
You saying that is not tempting enough?

I don't have an index car. I don't have a way to slow my car down to fit into a reasonable time bucket. My car is going to run what it does and that is about it.

I am looking at a long drive w/o the use of my convertible top and part of my trunk space I need to find someone to carry my DR's and the expenses of a multi-day trip for an event that I don't think I will even have a shot at.

It may be a fun trip and I still may go, but pay outs don't make/break a trip for me.

No Edgar, you know I would never do the car show thing.

Index racing is actually a bracket type formate. The only difference is the dial in is on a .25 or .50 spread and the index dial in is frozen once you have committed to that given number.

Only C4/C5/C6, can race. Tight rules, I can even run my car with the solid rear and carb. This however is a great opportunity to race at a big event. I hope our Corvette races take advantage of this exposure.
