You can get a wide range of answers here from different areas of the country. I have been installing for about 4 years and I charge $750 for the hood/fender/bumper/mirrors/lights. For me that is a standard install. I live in SoCal though so pricing will be different for your area... not due to the different cost in the films but do to installers charging more for their installation. I also use a product called ClearMask... which I have found to be the best film available. It is 3M but not the automotive film, it is the 3M industrial grade film which is much better (no orange peel and better adhesive). I actually used the 3M automotive film on a sport bike the other day and did not like it at all. I would not recommend 3M automotive... and I do not know anything about the Lumar film since I haven’t used it first hand.
If you have any questions regarding the price, feel free to PM me. $895 is a little steep to me if its what I call a "standard" install. If it includes the rocker panels then it is about right. Make sure you check out some of his work before going with him. It doesn’t matter what film you use if he cant install it properly. Good luck...
If you can't find a place locally, you might want to try Detailing Dynamics in Mineola.
It is a bit of a trip for you, but it will be worth it. They did an axcellent job on mine.
