Who else got noise checked at E-town today????????????????
I got there late today 9:40am and I was only the 3rd car to request the noise test.
Results was I pass with a 95 db reading.
Now the rule states 95db so I'm on the edge of being illegal.
So most of you have heard my car run so if you think yours is louder than mine, you may be in trouble.
I did see the track send a car home for being to loud.
This noise rule is for real, lets make sure our car will pass.

They asked me to test mine, I was only 5th in line, he told me he was sure mine was OK, but just wanted to get an idea for what sounds were what decibels... My car was 91 I passed with flying colors..They were just getting used to the new equipment..

I don't think mine is that loud. I'll find out soon. What nights does the noise rule apply for? Sundays I know open headers are allowed(I'm not in to that, just an i.e.)

They were going to test Mr. Mojo out when he was eating to make sure he was legal, but they didn't get there in time, but did pick up 110 decible munching as they approached the area....he got away this time, but they said they will lay a bag of potato chips in his area and wait for him on his next visit.... :lol:

do you think a normal car with flowmasters will go over the reading. also is this just for friday and saturday or is this for anyday.

I don't think I even registered on the db meter; I doubt the needle moved from it's at-rest position.

If you did not ask to be tested they did not do it. Unless your car was "loud" to them they did not "press" the test issue. You must think about the fact if they had to test each car, nobody would get time to race. There were ONLY 290 cars there yesterday, and each car should take about 5 to 8 minutes to do a full test, so figure it out for yourself how long it could take to do tests on each and every car.

DK - if Mackey was at 95.....any guess if I'm louder?? I heard 96 was the limit. JP - do you recall if mine's worse than Mackey's? :confused:
