We recently finished up a full repaint for Forum Member (bradc6).
I dont want to post the finished pics as I want it to be a surprise when the car gets shipped back to Florida to Brad but here are some shots of the car in different stages of the re-paint.

Getting her back to you this weekend buddy

Received Brads car from Folrida

Inspection of the car revealed chips, faded paint and road damage (looked great for the year)

Primed, Prepped and ready for paint!

Base coat and 4 coats of Clear!

Smaller parts done and moved outside the booth!

Nice job John!

Bridgehampton was a great track too for those of us old enough to remember it.

Looks great John. Did you guys strip it down to bare fiberglass first or wasn't that needed?

Wasnt needed as the original color was so close to the re-paint color.
Just repaired a bunch of stress crack sections that had to be primed and from there we sanded the original paint to ensure proper paint adhesion

That is awesome prep/paint work.
Hoping to get mine done this Spring. Lots of road chips and she'll need
some new panels.

I keep coming back to this thread just to look at the pictures.

Can't wait to see it back in my driveway.

A little info about the car. I purchased it in July of 2008 from a guy in Virginia and actually drove it home to Florida. He had rebuilt all the mechanicals so it is a good driver. In October I did a 1500 mile trip up to St. Jude in Memphis and over to the NCM in Bowling Green. My avatar shows it parked in front of St Jude Children's Hospital.

The car had been painted in 1988 so it was not the original color but was a really nice shade of blue that got lots of compliments. It was just showing a lot of wear after 20 years. I was gonna leave it alone but then John came up with this great deal for a paint job.
