Hey guys,
Just wanted to thank the guys for putting on the event. As usual, had a great time. I left Virginia at 4:30am sat morning, drove to Maryland to meet up with steve row, his son, and Gary(?). Sorry I'm bad with remembering names.
I was there all morning and night running the GM Hitech and Corvette Challenge. Needless to say I was ready to go home at 5:00pm since I still lhad to drive back to Virginia and be back up early the next morning.
I wanted to go home so bad I threw away my chance at winning the next round by purposely breaking out of my dial in round two against Mr Mojo. It was worth it though. It was more like a street race for me than an ET race, we both broke out but his reaction was like .708 to my .769. Which was fine by me. :D
I don’t know what frank is feeding his car and himself for that matter. They both took off like a rocket from the line. It was the coolest race of the night for me. I’ll be back up again, but this time no racing in two events just the CC.
I also made it to the fifth round in the GM shootout. The last run in that was also cool for me. REally close race also.
don't know the other C4, but that sure was fun. :D
Comments? I'll make one...it's called PROGRESSION! I was making 65Zo1 a tape today..I was fortunate enough to get one from Vic'89 (who captured my two street tire runs) and also had Jim's car with it's smoke problem around 1000' on tape. Hopefully He can study it and see whats up. Anyway, I was going through some Mini-DV tapes and I think we had like thirteen cars or so at the end of 2000. Fourth Of July Weekend, I believe we had over 60!! Yesterdays event despite the freezing cold and freakish snow squalls netted over 80 with some that didn't race.
John Mackey and the rest of the gang that contribute-support it, this one's for you.
