Pretty much the same for us, a few downed trees, but no house damage. No power since late Saturday.

Had to throw out $$$$$$ of food.

Just got power back on last night!!!!!!!

We're not going through this again! The 8000 watt generator arrives on Tuesday!

Will be ready for next time!

Stay warm and safe everyone

Hope you don't mind me butting in since I haven't met y'all yet. Here in Westfield, MA which has its own city power, we were out until Monday at 8. We live on a main travel road off of 10 & 202. Trees down all over, but the city hired a few crews from NC and they have been humping to get power on line since the storm passed. No trees damaged our house, but a neighbor's tree crushed our back fence. The noise of the limbs snapping sounded like gunshots. We were without power, water, and heat, but used the gas stove to heat the downstairs and boil snowmelt for cooking and drinking. Deb was not a fan of the whole thing, but I've done a lot of minimalist camping and thought we made it through quite well. Just like Little House on the Prairie without cows!

Hope the rest of you get up and running soon. Many nearby towns still have zero power and I'm told the Berkshires south of North Adams/Greenfield look like a war zone.

The urge to move to L.A. is getting stronger...

Lost power here in Enfield, about 8:15 Saturday night, came back on last night about 8:30.

Luckily my trees are way out back near my neighbors horse farm, but several big branches landed on their property right of way, no damage, but still have a lot of cleanup. Candles, and 2 kerosene heaters got us through, and am/fm radio, and flashlights. Neighborhood looks like a war zone,First time we lost power here since i have lived in this house. (15 years) Looking into getting a generator. Glad the possee made it through with no major damage or injury. Ken

Yup, still no power here! Streets all around us have power, but not my neighborhood. Tried to stop at Hooters on the Berlin take for lunch yesterday but the had no power.

Generator doing its thing but we are ready for full power!

Hope everyone is coping well.

We got power back yesterday. Some tree damage and it looks like I will lose a couple. We needed to clean out the refrigerator and freezer anyway. At least no one in the posse was hurt.

Power went back on Friday around 5:30 am. I have a new appreciation for heat and hot water!

Spending a lot of time cleaning up with a lot more to go.

Default On the Grid now..

Hi all,
good to hear everyone is able to post again...

Got mine friday afternoon....Yesterday was nice so decided to walk the property. Found 30ft trees TOTALLY uprooted....

also aluminum shed collapsed on it self for 2nd time....

This is a crazy mess, gonna play dumb and ask the house Ins. if i have any recourse....

tried dragging what fell to the foot of the road, i live on State road so maybe get lucky and state truck will mulch my crap....Every other neighbor did it so i'm trying to too. But they seem to have neat pile less than 10 ft long. i just dragged the fallen 20-30ft limbs to the curb...

This is gonna be expensive but at least eveyone is safe...

-ALF out.....

Power back on this afternoon. Nine days. Hopefully that will never happen again. Lot's of mess still to clean up, but we are getting there.
Found some damage on the garage, but fixable and won't leak.
Later.

Amen to that Dave, Glad that you finally have power back on, and that the garage isnt going to leak, and is repairable. Most importantly, you and yours are okay. Hang in there.. Ken

Feeling almost guilty that we did not loose power. I attribute to good clean living.

Did have a house full of family for a week who lost power in Springfield and Bristol. Bonus...Got some extra time with some of the grand kids. Broke a few trees but nothing hit the house. All-in-all, consider ourselves lucky.

Good thing we did the Fall ride when we did. As they say, timing is everything. Hope the Posse gets back to normal soon.

Marcel
