Lost power Sunday @ 3:30, still out. Our generator was delivered on Friday, could not have been better timing. Just got Internet back. I picked up my patents from Springfield, it looked like a war zone there.

Well over in the quiet corner we slipped by unscathed. Worst thing I saw was the town truck spreading sand/salt on my road....
One other issue that I should note is...the Posse was all but silent and I miss you all...
Lets hope everyone gets back to normalcy very soon.

As I mentioned above, my parents are here with us.
I too may be up for a pizza cruise this weekend. I am on vacation this week and already had more "to-do's" the time off, now that is all out the window. This year has been very hard.
I wish all my Posse Family are doing OK. If we can, let's do a cruise this weekend.
We all have lots to do, but if we can, let's take some time for fun.
Best wishies to all the Posse Family and hope to see you soon?

House sitter says all is well. Mostly rain in my corner. Electric stayed on.
Branson was sunny and pleasant. We'll be back home tomorrow night.

I'm still in the dark, figuratively and literally. Luckily I have wifi thru the cell phone and a freshly charged iPad.
Some pics from Sunday am when I went out to plow.

We have been running a generator since Sunday. We got power and the internet back today.
Dan is that 219? If so that's pretty bad.

No, that was 72, it was like that from the reservoir in Harwinton all the way into terryville. 219 still has poles snapped off near 202 and lines down, it was a 1 lane road yesterday, finally opened up today. I hope to have a generator Wed if the truck comes... I haven't needed one in the 9 years I lived here I never lost power for more than a few hours including the hurricane...

Power has been out since 3:30 pm, Saturday. Trees down all over with 6 laying on the house and garage, but does not look like any structural damage. Electric lines pulled off of house. Inside house is a brisk 45 degrees. We can cook on the gas grill or stove top (propane), but that is it. Showering/laundry, etc. at our daughters. Looks like another week of this ahead. Oh well. We'll tough it out.
Hope everyone else is well.

We were lucky, 2 trees down out front and 3 into the yard but no hits except for a couple of big branches hitting the garage and shed. Still no power.

Every tree on the property is broken, but nothing hit the house!!!
Three sides of my garage have 10" tree limbs that just missed....No damage!!!
My brother and I cut the trees out of the road so that he, the guy next door and I could get out.
No hope of power for a couple more days. We have a wood stove for heat and to cook on, and go to my mother-in-laws at the shoreline to shower.
Hey John, you should be at the shelter in Simsbury........I read the menu in the paper....
Good luck all!!!!!!
Pizza run Sunday???????????????????????

Like everyone else, I lost power on Saturday as well.
Didn't even get a chance to change the oil and put the baby away.
For anyone who is curious, here is a link to the CL&P restoration project.

Pretty much the same story here in Kent... Broken limb fell on the mini-van in the driveway and lots of branches lying around, but no damage. When our power came back on at 10 PM, I was sorry to see the television WORKED! (didn't miss that thing at all...) all in all a PITA, but I got the new(used) plow truck set up and it works great...heaviest snow I've seen in a long time.. ready for some nice days (with power)

CP&P says power should be on by Sunday at midnight. Let's hope.
The toughest part is waking up and getting out of bed when it's 40 degrees in the house. LOL. Yard is still a mess with trees and limbs, but spent the day yesterday chainsawing and cleaning some up.

My parents power is back on in Springfield so I will be bringing them today. We are still out in Middletown. Had Bartlett tree here yesterday. We have lots of limbs broken and hanging way up in the trees, not a job for me.
The generator has been a blessing. Anyone need some advice on how to connect one, pm me, (I am NOT an expert but I have been thru the process).
Would still be interested in a lunch cruise on Sunday if things work out. Hope to heat from Joaquin soon. Hope he and some of the other posse that we haven't heard from are doing OK.
