Probably not. During the warmer weather we have 40 plus vettes there of all generations. We should have a good turnout tonight as Im getting a lot of texts from guys who plan on going down. We are usually there till 11:00 or so, later during the summer...

I'm in East Islip. I usually hit the Oakdale g2g, and Captree/OBI on Sunday mornings. I'd like to meet some of the forum members! I'm either in a red '88 coupe or a '03 EB Z06. The '58 isnt ready yet, lol!

Auto Zone in bethpage is the place to go great bunch of guys ,bring you chair and relax ill be going there for now on . The club corvette society who runs the auto zone show every friday night is having a big show at the Bethpage Federal Credit union in bethpage at 899 South Oyster bay road this summer July 15 th from 9am till 4 pm rain date July 22nd plenty of vendors they just hired a doo wop band THE FABULAIRS to perform at the event ,plenty of trophies and cash prizes spots are filling up fast register early to be guaranteed a spot one show you do not want to miss.

If you're looking for a place to go Saturday night, you should join us at Islip Town Hall on Main Street. We usually show up around 5pm and then head out to Bobs in West Islip. Great group of old cars and muscle turn out and I'm usually the only C4. We had someone show yesterday in a beautiful 78 silver and gray Vette. It would be great to have representation of this great forum at that show. I'm hoping to get over to Oakdale one of these Thursday nights if work allows. I've met some forum members at Bethpage and look forward to meeting more.

I forgot to mention that I've been to the Islip parking lot several times. Haven't been there this year however. I'm sure that I've seen your car on the west end of the lot. Usually a good turnout! If the weather is nice, and, more importantly, if I'm not swamped with domestic duties, I'll head on over this coming Saturday.
Oakdale is a pretty good time...get there before somebody shows up to do burnouts with their top-fuel dragster...that usually clears the lot in a hurry!
Anybody go to Bald Hill? Been there a few times last year.

I was never crazy about the Bald Hill gathering so I never go. And yes, that was probably me you've seen. I'm usually on the west end of the lot with my wife and son, hood up and entertaining the neighborhood kids that want to see the Atari dash light up. We've been there twice already this year and as long as I'm around on Saturday, I head down, usually after seeing Gus at the Oconee for dinner. Come down and say "hi" next time, would love to meet another forum member, especially a really local one.

I'm not sure anyone is heading out to the OBI these days as the State Trooper presence has increased and I'm hearing its becoming a hassle. However, if you'd like a nice drive, take the Bridge to the Belt Pkwy, Southern State to Wantagh State Pkwy, take WSP to the end, Ocean Pkwy and follow the signs or crowd, if you hit Captree, you went too far.

Oak Beach starts once they start charging to get into Captree, not sure of the date.

Yes, the troopers can be a PITA, but hasn't stopped the crowds, when the weather was nice a couple of weeks ago, over 150 cars at Captree easy.

Early crowd though, they usually start breaking up by 10:00am.
