Informal Jersey Vette Club forming
Decided to take this on, no interest in the over the top hierarchy that most clubs seem more interested in. No executive body, just simply members with the sole purpose of enjoying our rides and participating together at shows/events etc. Forum based, currently open so anyone can have a look. Here's the link, take a look and join up! Ground floor to make it what we want it to be.

Approved George...I think it will take off. I was prompted by a few very good friends in current clubs, personally I swore them off. Not a bad bunch of guys/gals, but the interest seems to be more for who's running the club rather than enjoying what brought them there. Also, just seemed like a majority of them were the type that could afford a Vette, not necessarily 'Corvette guys/gals'. Hey, when someone in the club comes up and says, "does that thing have a miss in it, doesn't sound like it's running right", which was stated to a very dear friend (with one of the cleanest and most wicked C6/Z06's around) that had installed a monster cam, you know there's a problem.
Anyway, I think there's strong appeal for something a little less informal. Should we have little meetings, sure, I think it's always good to get together socially and get to know each other or just bounce ideas off each other. Be nice to have a yearly dinner function too...but as is the mantra, once we have membership, we'll all vote on it. Just approving another now, which is 4 including me and this is the only place I mentioned it. Going to post in another forum and start to get some interest from my buddy I mentioned above and several of their members. I think this is off to a good start and we may be suprised at just how many 'members' we wind up with.

Absolutely not! The only thing I can foresee involving money is should we decide to have a year end party. That becomes worthwhile if we have 40-50 members (and spouses) to agree on a spot, decide menus, entertainment etc..etc...etc, then contribute to whatever the cost would be. I've been to The Brownstone in Paterson the last few years for another club, always a great time there...so, that would be the only time money would come up...purely for our own entertainment.

Approved...a rare Dream Theatre fan I see....spoken from the man that has the owl from Rush's Fly By Night album tattooed on my back
Head on over and register, I would say once we have a membership of 10, I'll start posting polls for new member approvals.
Those that joined, post up about yourselves in the bio and get some pics up of your rides...might as well get to know each other.

Sounds like our NON Club Corvette Club! No meetings, dues, members, officers, shirts, hats!! Just a monthly cruise! November cruise will be Sunday the 16th. Meeting at Liberty Plaza/Possum Park shopping center at 12:30, and heading to a couple wineries and someplace to eat. Check out our FB page...Non Club Corvette Club. Best of luck!!

Hard to say, I haven't thought of a home base per se, have to see once members start posting bios/intros on the board to tell what part of the state we're all from. Me personally, I'm in north Jersey.
