Dealership recommendations Northern NJ
Have a GS on order from an out of state dealer and contributor to this forum, and I am sure I will need a local dealer for maintenance and warranty work down the road. Anyone have any exceptional experiences with dealerships in the Northern New Jersey area? And while we are at it, any to stay away from? Having read some horror stories on this forum has me a bit concerned. Thanks

Do an advanced search (go to the dark red bar at the top; and go to advanced search) on here for Paramus chevrolet; they're the former Konner chev.

I would reccomend Schumacher's Main Street store (they're also on RT 17). They've been at that same location since the '30's so they must be doing something right.

Schumacher in Little Falls...I bought there in September. They changed my summer run to A/S tires in November. No complaints. I got a nail in a tire in January, I got that changed at my local dealer, they also did an oil change. Not a lot to service.

They've been doing a lot of C7 business in the last couple of years. Currently doing some expansion/renovation at their Main Street store. They've stocked GS's and Z06's so our car isn't a mystery to these guys. Mark is the sales manager and Danny is the 'Vette specialist. Great people and both have great relations with the service department. I wish more folks could have the experience and relationship I've enjoyed with them.

I don't think they have a dealership on rt 17, they have 1 in Little Falls, Clifton on 46 and Denville on 46 according to their website.

You are correct about RT 46, and yes I'm talking about their store at 8 Main St. in Little Falls. Stop by and tell them Bill with the Silver C7 sent you.

I bought my C6 Grand sport from him a couple of years ago.
I'm trying to see him again so i can buy a daily driver but i think he only wants to sell me another corvette and not a regular car lol

I took my c7z for the 500 mile oil change to paramus.
Nice spot, efficiently ran etc.
Although i didn't like the guy who took possession of my car to bring it to the lift though. Like he was auditioning Le mans where they run to your car and drive it off like he's escaping a bank job.
Other than that, and some minor oil spillage in the engine bay, i guess it went ok.

I live in northern NJ and I go up to Jackson Chevy either early morning during the week or on Saturday mornings. They have Paul Koerner, who does the bowling green, Carlisle mid America and Bloomington gold corvette maintance seminars. I've been traveling up there for almost twenty years with each of my three new corvettes for service. There is no better and what's great is I make the appointment and I'm usually the first one in for service. Paul and the entire staff at Jackson Chevy in Middletown Ct. I leave early in the morning and the ride up the merit parkway is an event in itself.
I recommend doing this. From a time manage, ent perspective because we travel from out of state is well respected. They treat me like a celebrity. I daily drive all my corvettes and they never let me down.
Ask for Paul Koerner to service your vehicle and tell him Jonathan sent you. The service managers are awesome too...no one but Paul works on your corvette. He is a corvette enthusiast first and foremost.
