Default Recommendations for Tire Installers in North Jersey

Ok, just got my Centennial Cup wheels and Michelin SS ZP tires. Now I need them mounted and balanced. I will install them on the car myself so that is not a concern. I just need a good shop that is not going to scratch these wheels. Any recommendations in North Jersey? Thanks in advance

Not sure if the shop is still there or they still have a good reputation but when I lived in Kearny I went to a shop over the river to Belleville in the valley next to the tracks. The shop did not look like much but they had at that time great reviews on tirerack. I had them mount my new Michelin PS2 on my new rims at that time on my C5. The did a great job and no Corvette tax on their pries. I just forget the name, LOL

You're talking about Riverside Tire & Auto. I've used them in the past to mount tires and do an alignment on my Honda Accord, but don't think I would trust them with the Corvette.

That's them, they did the ones on my Vette.

The issue on the new C7 GS and Z06s, most places scratch them. They need touchless machines which are new and expensive. Hell, 3/4 of chevy dealers that sell corvettes won't even mount new tires on wheels. They are a bitch because they are 335/20 runflats. If you go into C7 Z06 section read all the horror stories and see the pics of damage. There is a new thread once a week

You have a vette atm Stephen? or any plans in near future if you dont?

No plans until for another Vette until the kids are out of college and that will be a while, LOL

IIRC that shop had good equipment at that time that did not touch my C5 rim. Tirerack did list the equipment the shops have. Like road force balancing, etc. Look there for shop recommendations.

That is my concern because the Centennial Cup wheels that I'm putting on are the 19/20 combo so same size wheels/tires as the C7 Z06.

It is a little drive from where you are, but Advanced Tire & Auto on Rt 35 N in Aberdeen did a great job on my 13 GS. No scratches on the painted wheels, road force balanced, and not to expensive to boot.

Thanks for the info. Yeah, that is about an hour away so hoping to find something a little closer.

Place by me $59.99 35 series or lower

Mounting Equipment: Coats 7065EX touchless RunFlat capable
Balancing Equipment: Hunter DSP9000

That's why its expensive, touchless runflat capable.. thats what these widebody C7s need.

Dinardo in Warren NJ is what I posted above. How far is that from you? Prob 35 min with no traffic.

Or these guys: They regularly work on exotics and AMG, M, RS cars.

Yeah, Warren is probably 35-40 min from me. I work in Fanwood and that's usually how long it takes me to commute. I also heard about Eurotire in Fairfield on Rt 46. I think they work on high end cars as well. Will call around and see what they tell me. I don't mind spending $200 to mount and balance as long as they don't scratch my wheels.

I found who I am going to. Big tire shop on Rt 10 GOGEL Tire in East Hanover. I am sure you've seen their place - When you said Fairfield it dawned on me they were in EH. I am like 25 min away from there and they have experience. Tons of C7s and C7 Z06s.

Just spoke to the head guy there and he said he does C7 Z06s all the time. He has 3 top of the line machines. He has all the Coats Touchless machines. They even have the APX90 which is the best mounting machine on the market.

Mounting Equipment: Coats 50x, 70x and APX90 rimclamp machines
Balancing Equipment: Coats 1250

Call them up. Tell them you spoke to Mike who called about the C7 Z06.

Good find! That's only about a half hour from me so not bad. I will call them tomorrow to get more info. I like the fact that that have top notch equipment and Corvette experience, especially with the 19/20 tire/wheel combo. Planning on getting tires mounted next Friday since I'm off from work. Will let you know how it turns out.

Let me know how it goes. I will be going for all seasons or winter tires later this year. I dont plan on letting the car sit when we get those weeks of 48-55 degrees in January and Feb
