Gate City Corvette Club's "Spring Fling" - Sun.,May 28th - Merrimack NH
I don’t think it’s too early to remind everyone of Gate City Corvette Club’s “Spring Fling” being held on Sunday, May 28th (rain date June 4th). This is a Corvettes-only judged show held on the grounds of the Anheuser-Busch plant in Merrimack, NH. Attached is the flyer with all details.
Let’s see how well you all clean your Corvettes!! Smile
I’ll see you there. Thanks.
Elaine

I have just heard from the Gate City Corvette Club. Sunday's show is still on as of now. Any rain is not expected at all until late in the day. If anything changes, I will post it here.

Shot up there Sunday morning. Nice show and location. Perfect weather. Good vendors; especially the ice cream truck. Nice seeing you Elaine.
Took a second place trophy in the C6 coupe class. Surprised, but happy.

I was there again this year, good weather for most of the day. Turn out was good but not the usual standard for some reason. Plenty of food and vendors as bullmarket mention.

Thanks to all that came to our show. We had 118 cars, up from 91 last year, but down from the 154 a couple of years ago. The 154 was the year when May had 0 inches of rain and the grounds were already crispy brown.
We also had 62 corvettes and non-corvettes in our parking corral for those that could not stay for the entire show.
For those that requested their judging form, they were all mailed out today. Hope you all had a great time. Have a great Corvette season.
Thanks again!!!

Thanks Dean! So 118 + 62 = 180 Corvettes showing up is quite impressive! Especially for a holiday weekend.
Other than the grass being wet the day was perfect temp wise for cleaning.
As usual everyone at Gate City did a great job! Thanks!

We also had some of our cars there and there were lots more in the regular parking lot. I would have to guess about 250 total.
To me, the corvette owners will give us 1 day of a long weekend as long as they have 1 day for family. So this year, they has Saturday for family things and Sunday for us. Monday was not quite the washout that everyone predicted, but it still wasn't a nice day.
Thanks for the kind words. There is a ton of work that goes into this show, and all of the others, so it is nice when it goes off smoothly.

I try to go every year. I think it is about the best show around for corvette enthusiasts. I do not enter my car, but I thoroughly enjoy admiring all the great corvettes that show up---in the show, in the corral, and in the parking lot.
Granite City folks do a great job---just fantastic.
The venue is perfect---shade, very clean restrooms, indoor facilities (food and beer), but my favorite is the horses. The size of the show is great as well---just a short, pleasant walk from one the corrals to the Bud plant with plenty of shade allows you to see all the cars.
It is also the only show I have been to that has the Galli vendor where I can get my car on my shirts, etc.

As always a great show by all the crew at Gate City. CCRI had a fun day and winning best Club participation was a nice bonus.
I was humbled and honored to take 1st in the C6 Roadster Street division for the 5th year in a row.

Terrific show as always! This was my 11th year participating and I continue to be impressed by the people, the cars, and the overall organization of the show. Well done! Got my score sheet in the mail today with some nice words from Dean. Thank you.
