Default Shifting the 7 speed manual transmission

I have a new 2017 Stingray with the 7 speed manual transmission. I'm not used to having this many shift positions in a car. So, is it OK to drive around town in 4th or 5th and use 6th and 7th for highway driving?

No reason why not.....and not that much different from a 6-speed in a C6. Choose whatever gear lets you run at around 1200 rpm. That will give you torque for low speed acceleration while not "lugging" the engine.
