So the original West Chester location is still a go? I thought with the new signs up and police enforcement it was over? Please elaborate, no police action, everything is cool?
Here is a portion of an email I got from a person who drove to the old Dilworthtwon site before proceeding to Edgemont.
Out of interest, we checked the old location out about 8:30 on our way to Edgemont. Only one lonely car in the parking lot, an antique red and white American car, that has shown up there quite a bit in the past. No police presence, so the land lord has accomplished his goal of getting rid of us all. Three other cars showed up the short time we were at the old location, but they all headed up to Edgemont.
And while it's true that the Edgemont site is about 10 miles to the east from the original site, the drive mostly along Rt 926, that has just been repaved, is a very nice ride through the PA countryside.

Original Location at Dilworthtown Plaza is back in play.
One of the longtime participants at the Cars & Coffee at the original Dilworthtown Plaza location, Joyce, has been in communication with Starbucks manager there and emailed the following information to me.
Hi Joyce,
We are happy to have you at our store and hate for you and the C&C group to move somewhere else. Rahel has had conversation with the landlord about our position on this and that we do not want any police approaching our customers to tell them where they can be, how long they can stay, etc. Rahel was going to share our landlord’s information with you so that if you want to reach out directly to him, you can.
Please know you welcome on Saturdays or any other time you want to come and visit. We welcome your business as well as the C&C business on Saturday mornings. We have never had an issue with your group. According to Rahel, a few other tenants in the center complained to the landlord about the lack of parking on Saturday mornings and this may have caused the landlord to take action that we did not ask for or authorize in anyway. We do not want our customers feeling intimidated to come and hang out in our stores. While we do not have any control over what the landlord does, we have made it very clear that police should not be approaching our customers in any way while they are visiting our stores.

So this Saturday I'm heading back to the Dilworthtown Plaza to see what happens.
Ignore my previous post. Diworthtown is still shutdown.
So I went to Dilworthtown at 7:45 am today and there was a local cruiser sitting in the empty parking lot behind Starbucks. Pulled up beside him and asked him about the situation . He said the owner of the shopping center is still banning our meeting there. So it’s a no-go.
Then cruised over to the Edgemont site and that's where everyone was. I'd guess there were around 60 cars so a very good turnout.
You failed to mention the part where you have no *****. Why didn't you ask the officer to join you in meeting with the Starbucks manager? Certainly the Starbucks manager would tell the police the real story that they DO NOT appreciate the landlord and police cutting their Saturday business by over 200% ?
So who do you think has more say in this matter, Starbucks or the owner of the shopping center? The police officer is not interested in a debate, he's doing what he was told to do.
Nice turnout at Edgemont on Saturday. Pretty much every spot was taken. I like the location, but I can't see it working long term if everybody that used to go to Dilworthtown wants to go to Edgemont. Just not enough room.

In reading these posts I see many references to Edgemont. I would like to attend this meeting but don't know where Edgemont is. I do know where Painter's Crossing is but is it currently being used?
Just got the following Email from one of organizers of our Cars & Coffee.
Looks like we outgrew the lot that we are presently meeting in. Trattoria Giuseppe's owner Joe has indicated he is interested in hosting our meets in his much larger lot just behind our present meeting area. the business next to Starbucks had complaints of no place to park and our meets will only get larger so i thought it prudent to act immediately considering the West Chester site's demise. Diane and her Staff at Starbuck's will still be able to supply us with the bean juice as they are only steps away still. From the entrance simply drive straight rather than making the left to the old site. Check the face book site for pictures.

After C&C you might want to head over to the Media Rose Tree Park on 252 at the Media Bypass for the 10TH annual Salute the Troops car and bike show.
No judges/classes/trophies just a bunch of special cars. Like a bigger C&C. Delco Cruisers just ask for a "Troop" donation as you enter. Always a good show.
