Default Frederick, MD Need Some Help With H/C Install on LS3 Vette

So I have a unique situation. I have a home that has a detached shop that I rent out to a mechanic. In exchange he gives me a handfull of hours of labor each month.

I've got all the parts ready for a head cam install, and I'm starting to think that it may be good to have someone who's done this sort of thing before present for at least the majority of the time.

I'm willing to pay someone 500 bucks cash, dinner, and all the beer you want, if you can come out to the shop for a day and help us get this done. PM me if you're interested.

I wish I could help! Have you considered contacting a local Corvette club?

that may be just what my ailing social life needs! I'm still fairly new to the area, so I know no one. Do you happen to have experience with any of these?

I've looked hard at you guys, I just don't think I can swing the cost of a big name shop doing the install at the moment. Just had a slight fender bender and have to come out of pocket for deductible and rental as it is. that in combination with all of the parts I've been accumulating has mostly emptied my wallet for the foreseeable future.

To be clear.... I don't know what RPM charges, and am in no way saying that they, or any other shops overcharge. They are pro's and are worth every cent I'm sure. I am just going off what most pro speed shops have quoted me.

I am curious as well.

I want my heads reworked (not swapped for random cores) with PM guides, polished stock intake valves, and new stock exhaust valves. No cam, no port, no tune, just the way it was meant to be from the factory.

A fuel level sensor needs to be replaced as well.

RPM was active in that thread but did not chime in with alternatives to their standard AI package or the possibility of installing parts sourced by the customer.

We dont really have too many "Alternatives" to our package. To put it simple out package works, and works time and time again on diff dynos by diff tuners all over the country. We try to shy away from installing a lot of customer sourced parts etc for more than a few reasons. We sometimes will but prefer to install our own package because we know it will 100% work

The biggest part is cleaning the head bolt holes, it’s a joke of a task.

If your reusing the exhaust manifolds have mapp gas to not snap the studs.

GS coupe/M6 or regular base C6?
