Default Good shop for cam install

Hey guys! I'm about to pull the trigger on a 16 C7 ZO6 with a BTR stage 2 cam install, the shop that did the install is called Overdrive Automotive in New York, car sounds good but does anyone know if this shop is a good one? Also the car was re-tuned by New Era Performance, are they any good? Thank you so much for your help

There's a few good shops in NYS. Mike at New Era is pretty good on a good day. If it was just the tune from there you're probably safe. If they turned wrenches on it I would get it looked at by another shop. If you're staying in Upstate NY, two best shops are New Age Hotrod and Twisted Synergy. Downstate JTM Motorsports.

What about Overdrive Automotive out of New York, those are the guys that did the cam install, and then it didn't run right at idle, then Mike from new era did the retune. The owner says there's only two thousand miles since the cam install, and now it runs great!

Never heard of that other shop. Mike is a decent tuner though so you're good.

Good to know that Mike from New Era is good, if the cam install wasn't done correctly, I'm guessing that when someone go's to tune it; they'll see that there is a problem???

Take the drive to central Jersey and go to ECS. They're a top shelf shop, show cars to race cars to daily drivers. I've been using them since 2002 and so have all of my friends who have vettes. Do you're own research, or go by reputation and word of mouth, either way you'll end up going to ECS.

Okay guys, the car already has the cam installed I'm trying to buy the car, the guy said it did not run good at idle but he got it retuned at New Era Automotive; Overdrive Automotive are the guys who do the install, so MY QUESTION IS, does anyone know if Overdrive Automotive out of NY is a reputable shop who has experience working on the C7 Motors! Thanks!!

Says theyre down near Binghamton lol... Where are you if you think Bing is upstate? No one i talk to has heard of this shop. If you're concerned with the build id contact the shop and have them get you the true build sheet the spec'd the previous owner.
Can do small things like check the plugs, change oil ensure things are in order. If Mike tuned the car you "should" be ok. If something was out of whack he could have identified it.

I'm in pa, yeah Mike retuned it and the car made 675hp and 700tq to a tire on a mild tune BTR STAGE 2 CAM, 18% LOWER PULLEY, AFE INTAKE, & HEADERS & X-PIPE, air fuel mixture is 14.6, doesn't that sound a little rich

Mike always liked to air on the side of caution leaving cars a tad rich ... With that build though you should be safe. If you want more eventually I'd look at a shop that has their hands on quite a few C7s, that actually show some performance on the track and NOT just lofty dyno sheets.
