One of the Forum members runs a Cobra there, but of course it has a Roll bar. You had to register your car type to race, did you include that it was a ‘vert?

Default Who is headed to Slip Stream This Coming Weekend?

Thought I would give this a bump...I am headed to Slip Stream at Pocono Raceway June 29th, my wife and I are planning to be at the pre-race dinner on Friday night. Who else will be there?

Default Slip Stream at Pocono Update

Had another day of high speed driving fun; a shout out to Akash, Steve, Sumit and the rest of the Slip Stream crew. Seemed like the event was snake bit with all of the breakdowns but I still got 7 runs in and wrapped up at 4pm with the event still running. I was hoping to hit 150 with the new tune and VP105 but my best was 148.4 mph, well looking ahead to August.

We fought a couple issue during the first two passes, but thanks to some good data logging, we figured it out and the last two passes were 169 and 176.
My buddy’s dad was able to hit 131 in his C6 with only headers and a tune, so that was a win too.

We wont be at the August meet.

I had a great time and would definitely go back - got three runs in and the car preformed well (RPM Heads/Cam C6Z - trapped 148 last pass). Would be cool if they did a Saturday/Sunday thing to break it up a bit and get more cars/runs in.

605whp on RPM's dyno (stock clutch, injectors, intake manifold etc) - very happy with how everything went. Just checked the SS app and went 150.6 my second run

We have tried that, doesnt work out well. We fought several issues that day, but Ill take the blame for all of them other than broken cars. We are adjusting the schedule slightly, and sticking to it. no more trying to be fair, it will be what it will be and moving on. The other issue was that a large portion of raincheck holders- people that said they were not coming, decided to come. The problem with that is that once a person is held over, we sell that spot. Thats how we are the only Race event able to do such a nice thing. So we were over by roughly 40 people. lastly, some people thought they were VIP and were skipping the line. there are only a few cars, the ones that are actually going for 200+ allowed to do that, and they arent even in the lower HP group. This will be addressed

Absolutely they did mess up. We own up to our mistakes, this one was on them. And our contract is by the year, and we pay well in advance; if we didnt pay in advance, we must pay before we go hot. So again, no and no.

See you in August!!

I'll have my new stock M7 1ZR ZR1 at the event on August 11th. Hoping for good weather as I'm interested to see how the new car runs.

That's cool, there was a new black automatic ZTK there in June and he was trapping 148-150, maybe a 151? I think the big wing was holding him back. I will be very interested to see what the manual does. What color is your ZR1 and is it a ZTK?
