Rich,
Woodard has lost one of the good guys and your new dealership will reap the benefits of your presence. I can say that you were one of the guys that I would always turn to when I needed anything Corvette related and I would have travelled even further if I needed to get to you. Since I moved to Utah, I think I have to draw the line at 750 miles though!! Thanks for your contribution to this great community thus far and I expect to hear more about your efforts from afar. Take care and say hi to FredSM when you see him at the track next.

Mike

Thanks for the kind words Mike. Fred told me that you had moved. I knew that either you had not broke your car or you had moved because I never got to see you recently. Take care. If you need any parts mailed you way, just let me know.

I will let you know. Should be fine, but I will use our car as a test dummy first.

Hmmm. Well, considering I walked home from your old dealership a couple of times, you were already as close as you could get to my house. I guess your move away from Fairfield Chevy will just give me another excuse to drive my Vette.

Glad you found another GM job so quickly.

At least you have an in with your daughter working here.

It is not that far away, so it will be a short drive. I will still be able to take care of all you folks just as well, if not better from over there.

Sounds like it's time to leave all right. Both you and the new dealership will gain by your move, and the old one will just get to be a worse and worse place to work. It's smart to step off of a sinking ship before you have to swim to get to shore.

I've never heard of "world class gold certified" techs before. Wonder if Boardwalk, the nearest dealer to me, has any...I'll ask them next time I'm in.

Again, congrats!

Well, you all have waited long enough and the cat is out of the bag. My new home will be..........

ABEL CHEVROLET PONTIAC In Rio Vista.

I guess Teddy wins the free oil change as he was the first to say it. Lol

I am starting next Monday 11-10-08 and will be the Parts and Service director for the dealership. I look forward to seeing you all over there and the drive is pretty close to the same for most of you. We will be ironing out the rest of the details in the coming weeks, but I will take care of the Corvette community just as good, if not better, then before.

Thanks to all for the continued support and I will hopefully see you all soon.

I knew it, just texted it to you instead of stating it here on the forum. You're at an excellent dealership and will continue to pick up parts as needed.

Richie, when do you start and when is you're last day at Woodard?

Good luck, Rich. I just looked at Abel's Web site. They only have two Corvettes in stock.

I knew it which is why I noted the fishing while my truck was being
worked on. You gave it away when you said how long it had been in the family.
