I am gaging interest so we know how to create the different classes so please let me know if you want to come out and play. We will probably just have brackets for Street tires and drag radials. The more cars we get the more options we have!

Count me in, although it'll probably have to be with a full cage this time after I narrowly avoided getting banned from both Sacramento and Infineon last Sunday.

You know we will be there Steve. I think this is going to work out better then the one last year. I will see the interest we get from the Corvettes and then open it up to other cars and post on other forums. I know a few of the Goats, F-bodies and TBSS' will show for sure.

This should be fun and what a great way to spend the 4th of July weekend.
There is also a drag race on Sunday which is part of the Summit ET Bracket series and is open to everyone and anyone.

If you only want to race in the Trophy Class, no problem as you do have many options.
And for those who want to camp out or bring their RV's and stay over Saturday, you are more than welcome.

I'll probably be there again. Hopefully our luck will be a little better this year and we will get to run the whole lane out. As you may remember last year, there were a couple accidents that lead to them cancelling the Corvettes after only one round.

We actually opted out of running the rest of our runs in lieu of getting a refund and being able to leave before 10:00 at night. We could have stayed, but it wold have taken all night.

I think this date should be better because there will be half the amount of cars there. Also, stay tuned for details on a private track rental that is in the works for later in the year. It should be a good time as well.

Several of us who wanted to keep going went in to the booth and asked if we could. We were given two choices - take the free re-entry card, or run ONE more round and go home. There was no option to stay in until we had gone through the remaining cars.

That being said, I am not blaming anyone for what happened. Many of the groups there were part of the Summit Series points race and they HAD to get their runs in. There is no way anyone could have predicted all the delays.

Rich, if there is to be a Corvette only lane, keep it as that. I'm sure there will be a lot of interest. If it is open to F bodies, GTO's, Trailblazers and whatever, it won't be a special event anymore and will get out of hand. With 5 months to plan and promote, there will be plenty of Vettes, especially if an announcement is made at Vette Magic the month before. My 2 cents. Willie

I will mark this on my calendar, but in my GTO (don't worry not in the vette only lane). Getting an 8 point installed in a couple weeks and I just finished a TH400 swap .

Chris (subfloor), congrats on 9's! I didn't know you were that fast now .

I just wanted to make sure the forum members understand that the scheduled race on July 3 is also a Summit ET points race for the Infineon race team. Because of the rained out race dates in January, July 3 was added to the race schedule. There will be a points race on the 4th also. This means the Corvette bracket will be running along with the other bracket catagories. Most likely there will be 2 time runs, possible 1 if there are oildowns (the Vette lane will most likely have lower priority over the other brackets). Hope this clarifies the situation. Willie

I updated the list and wanted to encourage you vette owners to commit to this event so that we can make sure we have a good estimnate of the number of cars we will be dealing with on the third of July.
Several people are talking about bringing BBQ and makinjg a big ole NorCal get together out of it. We can get a big pit area roped off and do it up right with food and refreshments!
