I love the supercharged setup!
Gotta say, the blow-off valve's noise is addictive to hear as wide-open throttle is! Always has me chuckling when I hear it go.

We haven't done any of those conversions before BUT I would imagine the main things that will need be changed are the belts, head unit, and the mounting bracket.... why do you want to change from your Procharger to a Vortech? Are you throwing belts?

I've had 2.
A '97A4 with mods of ZO6 cam, Patriot heads milled to 62 cc, LT headers, 160 T-stat, ported intake and TB with 100% Methanol. It made 547 RWHP.
My '05 C6A4 with no mods and a Vortec and 50/50 met and water a 160 T-stat. On a conservative tune it's making 561RWHP with 10lbs boost.
So even on a stock engine you can put down some serious HP.
Enjoy.

Melting Slicks
Just thinking there might be a market for a conversion to a smog-legal and quiet blower.

No, but it's a D1SC, it's LOUD, it does not have an EO# and it's getting hard to find a good smog shop these days. It's time to get it rebuilt, so I can get a P1 case and retain the D1 impeller so that solves the EO problem but not the noise problem.

NA.... Vortech brackets aren't very good... they have a tendencies to throw belts.

Mike...some people like the aggravation of those things you mentioned..sawing machine sound, rough idle lop, thin wall sound of hearders. I like Stealth operation sound of the quiet Vortech until you hammer it. Then in most cases it's all over for the other guy...

Who else wants to get supercharged? We just finished Dave's 05
Dave gave us a call a few weeks ago and wanted more HP (500RWHP) BUT wanted to retain great driveablity, decent MPG, and the ability to pass smog easy... so cams, heads, and long tubes were out the door. Dave dropped off his C6 on Thursday and by the following Wednesday afternoon he was on his way home to with an extra 180RWHP and 125RWTQ. Not bad for a 100% bone stock car besides a bolt on
Here are his numbers....
Before A&A Supercharger & TPS Tune
356RWHP, 355RWTQ
After A&A Supercharger & TPS Tune
536RWHP, 480RWTQ
Here's his complete gallery....
