If you have an interest in 1968 to 1972 model Corvettes, a gathering at the Red Lion Inn off Arden Way in Sacramento is taking place October 7,8th.

This is the 2011 Regional meet for the National Corvette Restorers Society. The event begins Thursday morning Oct. 6 and ends Saturday evening Oct. 8. There will be Corvettes ranging from 1953 through 1996 on display. You can get more information about this meet by going to the NCRS.org website.
The NCRS membership is primarily interested in the restoration of Corvettes to their factory configuration. The Corvette ownership have cars from examples that have barely escaped the wrecking yards to the most wild and customized examples from the "sixties". The common goal among the owners is to discuss, show, restore, drive Corvettes as they were built at the St. Louis or Bowling Green factory.
The Northern California NCRS chapter, along with I believe the Central California and Southern California chapters in conjunction with the National club is putting on this event. The location of the show is at the Red Lion Inn, 1401 Arden Way, Sacramento, CA 95815.
The closest Western Regional for 2012 will be held in Seaside, OR. This is everybodys chance to participate or come by and see this meet close up and personal!

This Northern California regional is also setting up a section for a swap meet for members. I don't know how many spaces will be set up, but everyone of the vendors will have Corvette parts only, which most of us with Corvettes are always looking for parts!

The swap meet spaces are free to NCRS members, how many Corvette owners will set up is not yet known, however the only parts that should be there should be for Corvettes.
The swap meet section is open from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM BOTH Friday and Saturday. If you want to participate in this NCRS Regional meet, you need to fill out the California Capital Regional meet application either through the NCRS Driveline issue or on line at the NCRS.org website. You would need to join NCRS to participate, however all Corvette owners may come as spectators.
I'm hoping that this event will generate more of the '68 to '72 year Stingrays. California has a lot of these cars, however the owners are spread out between being members of WSCC, NCCC or NCRS. I'd like to get more participation with these early sharks.

I'm just not computer literate. You can see the schedule in the NCRS Driveline issue, an application is there California Capital Regional. You can also join the National Corvette Restorers Society (NCRS), NCRS.org website, go to the Technical Discussion Board website once your a member and register on line.
The meet is Thursday, Friday, Saturday, but I figure most people probably are working during the weekdays.
