Check with Newsom there in Reno. I believe he still has a nearly new spare. He had put it in the car I bought from him, but we had it put back to stock before I picked it up.
Check with Richie at Abel. Maybe one of the shops will chime in....GL
Thank You.

I think what Teddy is referring to is the need to change your shift points. They will be WAY messed up after the install so you'll need to reprogram them.

I have EFILive and I am able to retune the car.

If you already have a 3.15, I wouldn't spend the money on a 3.42. I'd eithher keep the 3.15 or suck it up and get the 3.73+. Just not enough difference to justify the parts and labor.

I feel the same way as you do, I would do 3.73 in a heart beat if I could find them for a good price.

I did that with my A4 C5 didn't notice much of a difference in the 3.15 and a 3.42...
Just be careful. There are very few shops (including dealers) that can actually work on the C5 / C6 rear ends CORRECTLY. There are many shops that claim to be able to and the results are usually bad. There is a shop not far from me that says they work on them and that they have all the right tools, knowledge, etc. One of my buddies has had them rebuild his rear end 4 times in less than two years.
