if you need land surveyor, i have some.
im dealing with this property line on some of my previous project.
im an architect by the way.
1. find your deed and usually on exhibit A you will find the property description.
2. if you dont understand to read the description, go find tract map.
3. your parcel map wont show that detail
4. call the land surveyor
5. hire lawyer to fight for your right (if its happend there are no easement)

bottom line is
the guy has more money then God.
over 3 pages of civil records (which is unheard of)
He lives for battles like this.
I have 2 young kids and my wife works from home.
I would love to have a private meeting with this guy but the bottom line is I can't afford it.
So I play the game and build a solid case against him.

that brings it back to the suggestion that you ask him to show you the easemant, if he's sure of it and has the paperwork to back it up, he wont mind showing it to you, ask politely , you may save some effort and pita b.s.

Since Daniel lives in a fairly new subdivision, the easment in question is probably a drainage easment that will show on the subdivision map. I really doubt that the previous owner of Daniel's house would have granted an easement to the neighbor. If the neighbor actaully does hold an easment accross Daniels property then the neighbor is the only one who can void it. As one great song writer once wrote "send money, guns and lawyers"

we no long speak unless it through a LEO.
I felt the same as everyone on here saying I would handle it!
Well its different when you have to live next door to the asshat and your family is there alone all day. He doesn't work and is very aggressive. We have friends in the fire department that will not respond with out back up to any calls regarding this person.
some times its best to leave sleeping dogs lay.
Till they pop there heads up then you handle it with proper force.
My wife is very capible of handling this if need be.

Just plant a whole forest of redwood trees on your side of the fence. Put up a few no trespassing signs with bullet holes near the trees. He'll get the message. Shoot him on sight.

First I'm not suggesting this, but in alaska , when there is a bully in the villages and they cant put stop to it , they burn their house down and buy them a plane ticket to anchorage so they can live in a homeless shelter. You dont hear of very many bullies in the villages. When I commercial fished, bullies, slackers, drug addicts, etc. got lost at sea ..... all the time . instead of planting trees, you could start a fire , for rodent control, your choice where you start it...not suggesting it though.

Everyone has advice. But they don't have to live next to the a hole.
Remember.daniel has a wife and 2 kids and be is away from home a lot.
Just one thing happens to this guy and the come to Daniels.
I seen first hand what an ahole this guy can be.

Post his name and address here. We'll start by sending him some choice magazine subscriptions and go from there.

Its easy for all you guys to say these ideas, you dont have to deal with it. but if it was in your back yard things and comments would be a lot different...
And of curse I know most of you are joking with the comments..
But I can tell you first hand that his wife and kids are scared of this guy and they shouldnt have to worry about something like this....
If it was me... Im a single guy... Id have my AR with my laser pointed right in his window. make him change his tune a bit.. Id be armed all around my yard.. letting him know he is F'in with the wrong person..
But like i said im single and its just me I have to worry about . Not twin baby boys and a wife....

agreed on the joking , but, from what I've read here , he has two credible witnesses, he has a 'documented' bully, and he has actionable property damage. I would at least consult with the local D.A. office to find out what ,if any thing can be done. If there is fear of physical harm to him or his family, that can be addressed also ,'restraining order' for start's. I realize that I'm not quite housebroken, but, Bully's and bullying in any form, need to be stopped.
