Default Q on SF area good dealer services.

I am about due on the 500 miles oil change and Android auto update. I was going to Boardwalk Chevy in the SF bay area, but am thinking about Momentum Chevy or Stewart. Anyone had any good or bad experienced with the 3 dealers?

If you don't mind a bit of a drive, Abel in Rio Vista is the very best.

First off welcome and Congrats on the New Corvette. Glad to see you found this site.
You will see that a lot of votes for Richie place (Abel) And it is worth the drive to have the work done. I have not had to much experience with the 3 you mentioned but I have heard stories about Stewart.

I don't have any personal experience with the 3 places you mentioned but I also recommend Abel Chevrolet and drive 113 (each way) from Gilroy to get my C6 serviced there.

I've been going to Boardwalk since 2006 and I've never had a problem. See Joe!!

Don't know about Stweart, but definitley don't even think about Momentum, lots of bad stories . Just on servicing and inspections.

Able for me too! It's a 90 mile trip each way - but well worth the trip even though my current house is only about 2 miles from Momentum.............

Thanks, everyone. I know Stewart dropped a Vett off the rack back in 2001 or 02. Was hoping they changed. So looks like I will be bringing it back to Boardwalk.

I have my own negative stories about Momentum, as well. They were so much better when it was Courtesy Chevrolet. Courtesy and skill are long gone.

Any opinions on Capitol Chevrolet?

I suggest you ask Tim Boone about the service department. He sells a lot of Corvettes, and I think he will give you an honest answer. I bought my Corvette from Boardwalk about ten years ago. At that time, the service department had problems.

I am amazed that so many Vette owners would travel 100 + miles for a simple oil change. Able must provide incredible service... I have heard great things about them but have not brought my car to them. The idea of traveling 1 or 2 hrs. for an oil change or basic service .... wow! If I lived within 30 minutes or so I would ... but ....

It would be a 2 1/2 hr. 170 mile drive for me....

I do my own oil changes but I use Abel for the major milestone services like tranny and differential fluid/oil changes, brake rotor and pad changes, etc.

I recently did my 7,500 mile service at Able and was very happy with the attention and promptness of the work. Good to catch up with Rich some. Also surprising to see a dealer in the Bay area with more than a half dozen Vettes on the showroom floor.

I'm going to start making the trek to Abel I think as I've been using Boardwalk and they suck. Service department is a joke. These guys are lazy.

Yes, they do. There is a reason that...

I have heard great things about them

Yeah, that's a bit of a drive for an oil change. But let me suggest that you try Abel just once - if only to treat yourself and to experience how it can/should be at every dealer. ("Here kid, the first one's free." )

That's incredible!! Are you gonna spend the weekend there? Abel must employ NASA trained techs!

I am very impressed with my fellow Corvette Forum opinions... I will give Abel and Rich a call.
