Doesn't surprise me, they where pricey.

I followed the crew there from TPS when mike had the brick and mortar speed shop.

Used them maybe twice and got the feeling I could do better someplace else.

Ended up at Abel.

Looked like they supported Club racers with car maintenance and even track side assistance, not 100% on this but that is what it looked like.

No missy here.

I feel for a couple of the guys working there,

You know how performance car mechanics are, they know everything attitude.

They had cars in the shop last weekend when I was there for the TOYO Super Street calendar launch. They had their doors open so that people to walk thru to get to the rest rooms

They are 100% shutting down and it couldn't happen to a nicer business owner. There is ALOT more to this story which will be told in the future.... can't wait to share it

They tuned my car and knew they messed it up yet didn't tell me. Didn't give me dyno sheet. Engine is in pieces and warranty voided. My guess I'm not the only one and they saw this coming. If anyone else had this problem I would love to hear from you.

That is a tuff situation for you, sorry to hear.

Was it just a tune on a stock car/boltons or did you have major performance upgrades cam heads blower?

Should of gone to Rick at Synergy especially if you had major performance upgrades. Ya I know you didn't need to hear the last comment.

Are you pursing a law suit. Borelli does have some deep pockets but I imagine the shop was separate from his real estate holdings.

Good luck it seems a nightmare I bet.

Have seen some tuning out of there that just plainly shows a lack of knowledge of both engines and their control strategy. Sometimes it wasn't too late to fix.

Just because the shop has closed doesn't mean past Borelli customers don't have recourse...

Ya well Mike I am just glad it isn't me.

Too bad all business folks don't care as much as you.

For those that do not know I approached Mike with a problem that occurred when he was Owner of TPS speed shop, ( brick and mortar) It was a couple years after he sold to Borelli.

Without going into details he stood tall and corrected the mistake his shop made as best as could be expected.

Not many owners will go this far after they have closed shop.

It did cost me some $$ due to being a wear item but mike set things straight as best as could be expected.

Dave,

I try and take care of customers as best as I could... sometimes even YEARS after their work was done like yours

Some business owners could care less BUT that doesn't mean the customer cannot try and obtain some recourse.

Another gentleman posted in the Transaction Feedback Section that his Borelli tuned C7Z blew its engine with just 3.000 miles. I know nothing about the situation or business though, and am just relaying what I read.

Borelli screwed up my engine. Put a tune on it that ran too rich and it eventually blew a head gasket, which is when the mechanic its at now saw extreme carbon buildup in the cylinders as well as piston play. Apparently a rich tune make it so the piston just rubs raw against the cylinder wall. It's going to get rebuilt after less than 5,000 miles at the original engine builder's shop in Texas and I'm having a guy up near Sacramento do the work this time. Anyways if anyone ever sues Borelli feel free to email me, maxcadenasso@gmail.com
