Corvette Care in Rancho Cordova??
Does anyone know what happened to them? Someone who went said they're closed due to the BAR. Haven't they been in business for a while?

I called them 3 different times last week and I kept getting a voicemail greeting that just said, leave a message. I never gotten a voicemail greeting before. In the past, usually someone will answer the telephone.

Talking to someone that was at the Blackhawk show last weekend Corvette Care they think is pretty much done. They said they read a Yelp review which they dropped a Corvette off the lift and they're shut down by the BAR as they're license is revoked.

Corvette Care Philip Van Every
It was my car that was dropped off their lift. Philip told me this was tough on him too since he had to pay a deductible for his insurance. He told me that he couldn't afford to do the right thing. He said it was better for him to lose a customer than do the right thing. He is such an unethical person that he didn't even put the rear end back on the car after he dropped it of the lift. He said,"if you aren't going to let me fix the damages our shop did to your car then I'm not touching it again. He also said he wanted it out of his shop if he wasn't working on it. Let's see you drop my car, bitch about how it affects you and I had to use my bank to get the $3,000 down payment for the work I contract you for? If anyone goes to Corvette Care they are crazy. He farms out work to MAACO and that's one of the reasons his BAR license was revoked in 2016 after his multiple appeals.

Corvette Care told a few of my corvette buddies that if they aren't there to spend money then don't waste his time. I just thought it was very unprofessional. I would never take my corvette there or recommend any of my corvette buddies there.

just check California Bureau of Automitive Repair
http://www2.dca.ca.gov/pls/wllpub/WLLQRYNA$LCEV2.QueryView?P_LICENSE_NUMBE R=260078&P_LTE_ID=1101
The two linked pdf files (as of today) are extremely telling
If my link doesn't show, find the California Bureau of Automotive Repair main website, enter Corvette Care in their search box, and confirm that Philip is the owner of record. That avoids gossip. I'm going to do that from now for any potential mechanic.
Yellowpages.com shows him as the first "Corvette Repair" near "Rancho Cordova, CA" with a single five star rating, and lists Maaco paint as #5, also with a single five star rating. Previous customers of theirs, please add your experiences into those search engines.

Is Corvette Care, previously operating in Rancho Cordova, CA back in business under a new name?
CA Corvettes in Sacramento, with no direct address given on their website www.cacorvettes.com, is stated by a Yelp reviewer to be Corvette Care 2.0 being run by Philip Van Every, but under the guise of his girlfriend. She's featured in the website, but not Van Every. But, I did find him in a telltale picture with her.
A lot of horror stories came out of Corvette Care; I'm glad I wasn't one of them, and that I was able to get most of the work I contracted for completed. I got my car back before he self-destructed and went under in 2016. For the most part the work Corvette Care performed on my car was done satisfactorily, but it took FOREVER, and not without constant vigilance on my part during the final 15 days of the 60 days my car was left in his care for a 5 to 7 day job of a transmission change-out.
I don't wish him ill-will. I hope he learned his lesson, made good on the work his customers complained about, and is successful if in fact CACorvettes.com is Corvette Care reincarnate.
But, beware! He is a smooth talker and operator - too smooth!

Yes Phil had a display booth at the 2019 Sacramento Autorama last year under the name California Corvettes. He was using her as a front to say she was a partner. It’s the same old guy with the sarcastic personality just like before. I think most of you are familiar with him and it’s amazing that he’s trying to get back into the same market that he screwed. He should have opened up a shop specializing in Prius and have a fresh start.

There’s no money working with Prius. Lol on another note, he once told my buddy if he’s going to spend money or not, if not then get out of his shop. Very disturbing to say the least. Not a professional way to do business at all.

As far as i know he is out of business due to questionable workmanship. The BAR pulled his license I believe. I took my car there and I am still finding things done wrong. Yesterday my brakes started grinding and locking up, barely made it home. Taking it apart myself I found they did not tighten the big bolt behind the disc brake rotor and it worked it's way out and was jamming against the brake rotor and locking it up. I have a list a mile long of incorrect work dome on my C2. It is really a shame.
